Version Base TL ATLP Exhaust
#404
it is for the base model, but its base vs type-s, not base-aspec vs base-stock. this will fit all base models, it just might look better with all of those with the aspec lip.

Those tips look great, but I'm visualizing it to look not so good with the stock bumper. It'll look more awkward than the Comptech/Excelerate round peg in a square cutout, IMO. The TL's odd bumper design isn't exactly conducive to easily manufacturing aftermarket exhausts; props to Mike for having the patience and visualization to tackle these projects.
In a way I hope these are the final tips, 'cause if Mike does end up beveling them to match the base bumper, I'll want to jump off a cliff for not having the patience to wait for this exhaust.

From some info given to me- this exhaust is a very tight squeeze for the RJ rear. Therefore I am going with a different exhaust. I do not want to trim anything from the rear. I am so sad, I have waited so long. But my back-up is just as good. Look in the near future in the BM for my Magnaflow set-up.

hmm this sounds good for me lol as i own a A-spec kit but seems i will work harder for my TL-S set up .. but keep up the work so that mean i will have a whole back bumper with the a-spec kit for sale very soon

Yeah Mike I agree with Italiano. Having the tips slanted to follow the lines of a a non A-spec and A-spec bumper seems like it would flow better and have a cleaner look without having to buy another mod. Having the pipes sticking out to me, would cheapen the design of the exhaust. Waiting an extra 14-days is nothing for a quality piece. Thanks again Mike for presenting us with some different options and being so open to feedback.
I've got an a-spec rear lip, but agree that this needs to look good on both a-spec and base rear lip. No problem waiting another 14 days. Nice work BTW.

I've been getting a lot of complaints about making nothing for the Base TL, and now that I freed up a "new design" credit, since I didn't have to re-design the quads for the Base TL, I thought I'd see if there is any interest.
It would be a cat-back that would fit with the 04-06 Base TL bumper & BASE TL A-spec kit.
I've got something really sleek in mind, single tip..slanted, and a nicely done exhaust canister. Of course it would have the same mandrel pipping, beefy flanges, and attention to detail of the ATLP Quad Exhaust.
Well, here is your time if you ever wanted to scream at me for making something for the Base TL. Do we have any interest?

I got the quad tl-s exhaust and I can't be happier. So I'm highly recommending this exhaust. I have gotten so many compliments and have only had it on for 3 days. Also I have waisted half a tank in 3 days..lol

We're still waiting on the new tip to be sent back, since we are going for the design that will work with the base bumper, and those with the aspec kit on their base bumper. The only difference, from the tips I posted up will be that it will be slanted from the top as well (meaning there will be a left and right side, much like OE).
But their just having a few issues understanding what exactly I'm referring to, so please hold tight.

We're waiting for the tip manufacturer to finish a mold, because they have to make a whole bunch of them. They said the mold takes about 15 days, and then the actual tip making process will take another 15 days. Give them about 10 days for shipping and we should have some things to play with here. =)
