Hi Guys,
My 2007 TL/S has 130 K and its been a great car...last few months when the engine is cold is makes an engine ‘rattle’ sounds like valve/rods noise.(Im not too sophisticated when it comes to mechanical stuff!)..the noise goes away in a few minutes...any thought? Thanks P

Its valve adjustment. Im working on doing mine as well

 

Thanks...can you adjust valves that are supposed to be ‘auto adjusting’ ?...

 

Let the mechanic do the job, you are lost. lol.

 

i had the same noise as well this morning, scared the heck out of me.

 

They get loose or are too tight. So yeah.

 

Theres no self adjusting valves. Some have to be shimmed(very common on BMWs) or adjusted by a set screw
