UR crank pulley

I finally got the dealer to replace my 3rd gear synchro right before I hit 50k... I have an 06 TL MT.

Anyway, I still haven't done my UR crank pulley, mainly because I haven't found anyone close to me that can do it, and 2nd reason was just in case the dealer would somehow try to get out of the "service bulletin" due to modifications I made.

Anyhow, my question is, since they'll be taking apart the tranny, should I ask if they would install my UR crank pulley afetr or anything you guys recommend I have them change or upgrade? How much is a synchro? There is nothing wrong with the other ones, but worth changing all? (at my expense for the others)

Mainly I am curious if anyone had the dealer put in the UR pulley, if so, if the dealer was willing or gave you issues. Figured this would be a good time since they're already in there.
And second of all, if there is anything else I should have them change out.

FYI. so far, I have only done the AEM V2, P2R body spacer/gaskets.

Thanks in advance,
paweł

Unless your dealer is very liberal, I would doubt they would do this for you. It would implicate them in future warranty issues.

On top of that, my dealer rate is almost $100/hr so it's cost you some coin to have them do it.

Any other updates I could have them do while they're in there?

Yeah, I had my local dealer put my UR Crank Pulley on without hassle. They only charged me $40 bucks! But then again, it was through a "friend"

The did do the recall on the power steering hose.
In regards to the synchro, I told them it didn't feel right right, and it would sometimes pop out when I bought the car at 37k miles. They replaced the trans fluid (i guess that's the first step, even though it was only at 37k and I had to pay $60 for it) and it felt better, but was still not as smooth as the other gears. They checked it out again at 43k oil change, didn't find it. Had them check it again at 49870 miles, and they said that the mechanic did reproduce the issue and I have to go back in two weeks to get it done. They will honor the service bulletin even though it's over 50k and the warranty.
So I guess keep trying....

The guy that I deal with at the desk is pretty cool so when I drop the car off, I'll just ask him about it and see what he thinks, who knows, maybe they'll do it. Even for $100, it would be worth it.

I'll keep you guys informed.

I will also ask about the other synchro's. If it's not too expensive, can't hurt to change all of them, right?

stay tuned...
