TL's turbo, twin turbo or supercharger. What's best, and where to buy it!

id rather spend the money to have a whole turbo setup custom made to fit than to spend it on a supercharger. way more efficient and cooler sounding....prob get way more horse but internals would have to be worked as well.

Runnin a snail on a j32 should be pretty easy. If I can build a twin setup for a cl you should be able to do a single on somethin you don't even have to worry about a manifold with. Oil lines may be more of an issue than anything.

I'm unfamiliar with the J32 but can you "T" into the oil pressure sender like with most cars for the oil feed? Now the return line should be fun with the engine installed.

Could you share more info on your setup or link to a thread that has it? It looks pretty cool on your avatar but it's too small to see any detail.

Yes you can. T into the feed, oil sending unit. This is the J30. 1998 cl. Only one in the world.

The supercharger kit is good i think it doesnt give you enough HP gain for the money you pay,, And i actually might have a twin turbo kit custom made for my TL, which will give you so much more HP and be worth it

To tune the tl and cls. Is pretty easy all you need is Fuel pump, injectors, of course that and a really good FIC. You will also need the wiring schematic. For you car hook up is fairly easy the tuning shops up here usually charge like 100 to 300 depending on what type it is. For example stand alone or piggy back.

I make about 300 give or take a few nwver had it on a dyno. I only have it a 5lbs of boost. But it has out ran vehicles that are makin 300 or more, and also kept up with those vehicles. V8 S4. Eats Mustangs. R32's. That wierd looking truck chevy has. Those things are quicker than I thought. 350z if stock right with it, if not they usually put a car on me. Jetta's are like peices of popcorn. Silly cars. BLA BLA BLA...

the pre cats that rich makes could be part of the manifold. you would just have to fab up some other parts so that the turbos would bolt on to. da. justin (hendrick honda)

If a TL makes 300whp with a supercharger you can figure it takes ~40hp to drive the blower, so the engine is actually making 340hp and it has all the stresses and fuel requirements of 340hp. Yet only 300 makes it to the wheels.
The turbo being exhaust driven can now make 340whp with the same stresses on internals as the supercharger making 300whp.

Trust me twins are a pain in the ass there is not enough room against the firewall on the back side. A big single would be way easier. You send the car up here to me, I'll do it. Prob take 6 months. A custom shop will do it but they will charge like 5,000 to do it. there wil be alot of R&D. Let go of the twin thing.

I prefer a singe setup always but with the packaging of the TL, twins almost look easier.
The reason I say that is there is no exhaust manifold, just the single port out of each head. If you could use some sort of 1" adaptor between the turbo and head, it would eliminate any plumbing and having the turbo as close to the head as possible is always good.
If 400hp was the goal, the snails could be very small physically. It would be great to get something on the small side where boost comes in at 2,000rpm and all the way there by 3,000rpm or less. This is very possible to do, even with a large turbo, I get full boost by 3,000rpm. The TL would only require something half the size of mine or 1/4 the size if running twins.

who's talking cl's here?? did you read the title? TL's turbo, twin turbo or supercharger. What's best, and where to buy it!
like i said, 2 7th gen accords have been successfully twin turbo'd already, which would be no different than doing it to a 3rd gen TL. quit giving miss information by saying "there is not enough room against the firewall on the back side." again, these arent cl's were talking here
not to sound harsh, but not very impressive AT ALL being twin turbo'd. i absolutely annihilate stock 350z's running only 4psi from a SC.
^ +1 this guy knows what he's talking about

YES its been done
Not specifically in a TL but with the TL engine in a super car called the Scorpion make by RONN MOTORS and its puting down 450 HP with a claimed 200 MPH top speed so its more than possible plus 7th Gen Accords have made it happen many times. Same platform why not?

Turbonetics turbos.. not exactly how I thought the configuration would be but.. ehh... This setup / configuration will definitely not fit in the TL.
Check out that config btw.. Transverse & 180'd FWD config at the rear = RWD? lol...

That's a case of having twins just for the awe factor. Look at the size of those snails. Even though you can't tell what they flow by the outside, I can tell those are waaaay large for twins and only 450hp.
I love the feel of a large single over twins. A single turbo will spool quicker than twins of the equivilent size and I love the brutalness when it hits. Twins are more linear but they spool slower. Possibly a better choice for a road race car but not necessarily.
