For Tlers who have the Fujita cold air intake, automatic

I just got my fujita cold air intake installed on my 06' TL, i honestly don't hear a big difference when i drive, can it be that my car is automatic, the only way for me to hear the little blow off sound is when i step or even have to stomp on the pedal from 1000 rpm-4000pm, otherwise when i gas gradually, i don;t really hear it.

What about you guys, i would love to have your inputs and review about the fujita intake on a automatic TL

more air the more you hit the gas. Floor it and you should defiantly hear a roar

I speak for aem, but there both cai's, should be nearly the same. I heard my cai b4 my ATLP quads we're installed. However, I hear a slight hissing sound around 2-5k.

when did you get it installed? give it a day or two to settle in...I know thats what happened when I installed my CAI. Few days later, it growls like a beast especially if you shift near redlines...Once the VTEC kicks in, the sound from the engine itself totally changes...The turbo-like noise can be heard mostly while flooring it or even when you start up or shut off the engine.

Once you go past 4000+ RPM, your VTEC should kick in....You will feel the power once it does.

It's really not much louder than stock while driving normally. It only makes a litte more sound when you punch it and hit around 4k. I like it and am glad it is not too loud and ricey!

FWIW, I can hear the intake at pretty much any RPM. Obviously, it's not very loud at low RPM's, but the whistle is still noticeable. It definitely turns to a "growl" once you really get on the gas.

Sounds like it may be loose or vibrating against something.

if you are just gradually applying gas, you will hear nothing... but if you lay into the pedal about 75% WOT, you will hear a distinct hiss all the way from 1000 rpm... that is normal...

it won't roar until you get into VTEC...
