TL Type-S Dyno Video and graph

Just got my 07 TL-S Dynoed and took a video and pic of the graph.

Mods are AEM V2 CAI, RV6 PCDs, RV6 V2 Jpipe, RV6 high flow 3rd cat, XLR8 Resonated catback. Dyno was dont on a Dyno Dynamics but corrected to Dyno Jet numbers and SAE corrected.

Overall im pretty happy with the numbers, as theyre right where I expected the car to be. Made 285 WHP and about 250TQ

Future plans are 3.7L manifold, PnP ZDX TB, PnP intake runners, and AEM F/IC unit with a tune.

I also have a set of TL-S cams from my 05 Coupe V6 6MT that I took out of the motors before I scrapped the car after my accident that I plan to have Bisimoto regrind for me to stage 1/2 for daily use.

Nice numbers. How were they 'corrected to Dynojet numbers?' I'm curious. You can't just say "I'll add 8% and bam...Dynojet."

I have the same question nice numbers but a bit high on dynojet standards for the mods I think...

I honestly wish I could tell you. But I asked if they were corrected to DynoJet and SAE corrected and he assured me that they were. It was a dyno day for an M3 meet and I got there after work to catch the last dyno of the night for my car.

Cool. Did he give you the Dyno Dynamics number as well or just the 'corrected' Dynojet?

See, this is why dyno bragging rights have no merit in my opinion, and why I don't put any faith when a vendor comes on, touting crazy gains for a simple bolt on. Great tool for measuring gains on your own car, but even then there are variables that are completely out of your control. There's no scientific way to correct output from dyno manufacturer to manufacturer. All he did was pick a percentage point to inflate your numbers by. General consensus is that a Dyno Dynamics will read 10-15% lower than a DynoJet, so who knows what he did. Dynos can be manipulated to read whatever the operator wants them to read, which is why I don't even bother with them.

Trap speeds don't lie. If you go to the same track and use the same correction calculator for all runs, there's MUCH less margin for error. Take it to the track and hit 103-104 mph corrected and then I'll give you props!

And no numbers on Dyno Dynamics. Next time im over there to get my tune for other parts plus tune, ill ask for Dynamics numbers as well and ask about how he calculated/altered the graph.

You don't have the wrong engine. Just take it in for a dyno and tell the operator you want TORQUE. He can give you 350 ft lbs at 2100 rpm.

damn AccordFlex those are some insane numbers....well done man....

with the cams/manifold/pnp runners/bored TB and a 3.5-4" intake, I wont be surprised if you see upwards of 315whp....

with a good tune JnR or some other developments you can definitely push close to 350whp

I did not know that RV6 had a "high flow 3rd cat" ??
How did you find this part?

Heeltoe has both the rv6 high flow 3rd cat and the xlr8 one, and xlr8 also has the xlr8 (obviously) high flow third cat

Yea I was really happy with what the car put down. Just put on the PnP 3.7L IM, PnP runners, and ZDX TB and wow what a difference those made too. Car is definitely above the 300whp accoring to my butt dyno.

Yes, I will be taking it to get put on the dyno at the beginning of april. My friend is hosting another BMW Dyno day so ill be attending that to see what the difference is. I also added the Stage 3 clutch and new XLR8 poly motor mounts.
