Quick question, I know it's bolt on, but what is involved to install? How involved of a process is it to get to the existing downpipes and remove them? Are we talking afternoon DIY for the average Joe or day long project for the car guru (ie a shop for Joe)? Thanks.
Oh, and price pending, I'm in since I'll pass inspection. Curious...stage 2 is still theorhetical, but is it anticipated to pass emissions as well?

i dont get it... i thought the the 3rd gen TL's headers were cast into the block, unlike the 2nd gen TL.
is this a header system like the one for the 2nd gen TL (1999-2003) or is it just a down pipe?

Have to ask. Since the '04 TL (and I'm quite certain, subsequent years) has no exhaust manifold, how did you come up with headers? Did you change the heads to ones with individual exhaust ports?

Can we change only the headers and leave the rest of our exhaust stock? Will we still see significant gains? If so, I might be interested... depends on price of course.

Does anyone have an idea of what the cost might be? I am a newbie to headers, so I don't know what they usually cost. And where would the piping terminate?

where's the pics, nitrotiger? About price, keep in mind this isnt just headers, but also 3 high flow cats. So probably $250.00 just on the cats included in the system, then whatever 'E-shift' will charge for everything else(r&d, fab, etc.). If its under $600.00 i have cash in hand.
Let's go with those pictures already, everyone is dying to get an idea of what the headers and cats look like and how they hook up- At least I am!
P.S.- Nitrotiger, thanks for introducing us(headers & me).

that's what i'm thinking.. those would be beautiful #'s.. any more power than that is useless.. the wheel spin would probably be crazy..

As of right now, E Shift Performance can put any price on those headers because it is the only option available.
I would expect them to be in the range of $700-900.
The headers for the UA5 included more pieces to manufacture being there were 6 individual collectors.
The UA6 design only includes 2 oval collectors, 180 degree piping, and 3 high flow CATs, along with the flange and flex pipe.
21 WHP gain is substantial, and when mated along with the supercharger the TL will be something to note at the track. I can take some close up pictures of the blower and shaft in relation to where the exhaust collector is located. Its fairly close i believe, but should be able to come off without removing the blower unit.

They are selling full stainless steel headers for the 99-03TLs for 350 - 400. That includes the heads that are bolted on to the block.
Is there any kind of warranty and do you hear and resonance.

I'd definitely be interested... the S/C is out of my price range for now .. though I would love a s/c. I had the CT headers and loved them, but they didn't do much for torque. I like the gains I see in the torque dept. on the dyno... I paid $700 for USED comptech headers, but I knew their quality was superb. I have seen the results of cheaper Comptech rip-offs fall apart over time (i.e. OBX headers). I just wanna make sure the welds on these "headers" are excellent.

Ok guys he just took them off my car to make a jig for them. He going to make the production piece now. So the pics will be on as soon as he is finshed with the it. He has ordered the stainless steel and parts needed. When i was there today they were getting ready to make a few pair. Remember the comptech is a tublar style set up and the 04 tl head is not shape like the old cl/tl. Pics will prove it all when there up be patient guy's No one else has lifted a fingure to help us out And we have gains. So quality and testing was important to them. There alot of guy's who just take you money and run and these guy's are not like that. I will tell you with my stock set up back on all i have to say is I need my 21whp back
