TL '08 Type S Brembo?
Okay so I been looking into brakes for my TL Type S and I am looking for better performance over "stock"... however I keep seeing "Non-brembo" or "brembo" sooo my question is... Which model TL has brembo's? I have an 08 Type S... But I personally do not think my brakes are brembos? or am I wrong or what am I missing here?

So the only thing I’d need to replace are my rotors up front. Then get rear rotors / brembo calibers for the rear?

You can get a BBK for the car. Rotora, Wilwood and StopTech (I think). And you'll probably stop better. BUT (big but) it won't be because the rears are beefed up, it'll more from the fronts being beefed up. They do look good front and rear though.
The rears do very little of the stopping. Something like 30% at most.
So, improving the stock fronts (SS Lines, 5.1 Fluid, pad/rotor upgrades) is another way to get improved stopping.
The best thing (imho) about the after-market BBK on the front is the larger rotor diameter. And that is an improvement you can't get with the stock setup.

I decided to get a nice set of performance pads/rotors, stainless steel brake lines, high quality fluid, do all the brake related maintenance (rebuild if seized, replace slide pins, etc). If you do a BBK kit you will have even better braking but you already have 4pot brembos so it won't be a HUGE difference. The rear BBK kits also require a 2nd caliper for an e-brake I believe since the rear rotors are much thicker than the factory rotors and do not utilize the factory e-brake shoe system. Both XLR8 and HeelToe offer full brake upgrade packages. I personally have the XLR8 performance pads with slotted rotors stainless lines and motul dot 5.1 fluid. I also rebuilt all my calipers and my braking is amazing. The rear calipers do not look too aesthetically pleasing but you can paint them and/or add the OEM Acura brake covers or brembo covers. Many think the rear brembo covers look tacky but if you get the 2pot STi type cover and do it right I think it looks very clean.

Heel toe has 2 piece rotors bye racing break, that ss lines, motul 600 or 660 breakfluid, with racing brake pads. Best combination I have found. expensive setup but worth it, if you really want get fancy powder coat the calipers, inner hubs to the rotors an dust shields its pretty nice look. This acouple nice pix for ya, the rotors are actually fluted into the center of the rotor allowing for the best way for the braking gases to be dispersed
