^^^ makes sense....

the coating does help a tad bit with flow as it creates a polished surface and hence less resistance....i know T304-SS...is pretty smooth to begin with but well....

and i was thinking of fitting sections of 2" pipe about a ft and half in length towards the rear of the exhaust (my true duals are 2.25")....but i didnt want to mess up with the flow....i am looking to build my engine and that 2" section will create a lot of restriction down the line and hence didnt want to do anything with it

What is the main goal you're trying to achieve with exhaust wrap? I do agree that it'll help cool the engine bay but as far as wrapping the exhaust to get the gasses to flow more freely is just splitting hairs if you're looking for performance gains.

small gain is still better than no gain.. and basically that is what it is.. but you add 1% here and 1% there.. and so on then it adds up at the end of your build

2-3 goals:

1> keep the underhood temps lower
2> keep the pulses heated up and hence have em move out quicker, better scavenging
3> keep that tin can sound down

you have to realize this is a pretty inexpensive and a reversible mod....if it doesnt do anything, it comes off

but you will never know until to try it and pass/fail
