TEIN Basics and SS

Hey guys. As most of you know I am an Official Vendor for Acurazine. I have some TEIN Coilovers kits in stock I would like to liquidate. They are brand new and will come with an invoice for warranty purposes.

I have 2 TEIN Basics (MSRP: $750) in stock and 1 set of TEIN Super Streets (MSRP $1000).

You may PM me with reasonable offers. Please include your zip code in the PM so I can figure out what shipping costs will be.

SS = 16 way adjustable dampeners

I think both SS and Basic use the same springs. At least, this is the fact for 3gen TL application. Dunno abt others.

ok so I did do a search yesterday just to see what the difference was and you guys are correct about the dampening. And with everything I read, people recommend to spend the extra hundred(s) for the SS. Now... is the SS the ultimate setup or is there also the FLEX version? What about the add on electronic part? I forgot what the acronym of it was called. Is it worth it to go an extra hundred more for that piece?

There's supposed to be a SS-P under development, which is the SS with the pillowball. The electronic part that controls the dampening is the EDFC unit. I'm having the Tein SS and EDFC component installed this weekend. I can't really compare whether or not it's worth it for the SS and the EDFC though since I'm coming from the stock springs.

Both the TEIN Basics and the SS are adjustable in terms of ride height. The spring rates are identical. The SS, Super Streets, allow you to adjust the damping force or how soft or stiff the ride is by 16 different levels.

Depends on what you set the dampers at and how low you go. Mine is really stiff, but I like it that way....

Well, EDFC so I can set the dampers anytime. Just wondering if the softest setting would still be too stiff for some passengers.. after all, it's a sport luxury vehicle, not a sportscar.

Thanks guys. I reviewed an installation of the Tein SS with EDFC. Looks interesting. Are you able to control your height with the EDFC? How efficient is the EDFC or does it not work like its suppose too?

You cannot control the height with the EDFC. It controls how stiff or soft the ride. So on the SS instead of doing it with an allen wrench you do it electronically from the comfort of your cabin.

From what I understand, you can't have the strut bar if you want to have EDFC.

tallfuk, the ability to adjust height and stiffness of ride at any given time. Not only that, the picture shows that it comes with the shocks as well. The $200 you speak of is for springs and springs only.
