thanks for that sentiment, but I promise, in person, my car is NOT the cleanest of anything.
PPS, those shots in the garage look like you crashed into the pole and took the pictures for allstate.
Car is looking good though...I like the stockies over the last set very much. Much better for the look of the car.

I have had 1 hit and run before and it was not fun....
Yeah I do miss the last set....even though they were not for everyone....wish I would have plastic dipped them over getting them powdercoated....stupid me
but am gonna hold out for the next set....I have shortlisted the rims I want and am keeping my eyes open for them
Thanks Zach

Looking good Anil! Nice progress...like the black stockies with your car, carries the sinister theme well. See ya in a few days at the National Meet bro.
BTW...installed my PNP intake runners today. Car runs smoother than it ever has, plus hits VTEC much quicker now too. Can definitely feel a difference...works well with all my other bolt-ons

Thank you Ravi
Nice....glad you installed them Zach...the pnp runners sure do add some oomph
See you at the national meet bro....
I was going to repaint my stockies but was waiting to get new tires...my hookup at Sams was about to quit and couldnt do one last hook up
So I decided to keep these tires for another season (until winter) and then buy new tires....so took the rims off the repaint the rims and holy shit....there was a hugeee crack on the inside wall....so I put the wheels back on....
I might be getting the tires in a day or so (I am in Chicago for work)....I get back on Thursday and will get the tires installed the same day (hopefully)....
will paint my rims overnight and get ready for the meet....my car is no where even near to meet standards
so I just ended up taking the front bumper off and replacing the transmission oil cooler since it was leaking (:ugh) and sprayed the radiator with some water....while I was at it, converted my 4" SRI to 4" CAI....and cleaned my engine bay....pics of all to come later since am in Chicago and pix are in KC
finally...I went out and did some runs and was surprised by this:
did a little search to see where I stand and the Type S does it in 2.2 seconds and the 2003 Viper SRT10 does it in 1.64 seconds....

here goes for an update....
The transmission cooler I installed was leaking ever so little fluid...I checked all the connections and they seemed to be fine. I think that the core of the cooler is defective and was leaking....called Amazon and sure enough they send me a return shipping label, a brand new cooler....
I took the front bumper off and installed the reinstalled the cooler....while I was at it, I went ahead degreased the entire bay, used the foaming head of the pressure washers to spray the entire bay with blue dawn...sprayed down the radiator and the new cooler....rinsed her off and took a dry towel to the bay...then I took a shot....
@ Matt's little jack....his car sure does like my big jack
Then I decided to call Emma Watson
engorgio
Finally the valve covers with oil catch can came in the mail when I get back in town I will be installing this...or I might drive to OHIO from Chicago over the weekend and take help from Andy....not sure yet....
Since my hook up at sams(for cheap tires) quit, I decided to run my current tires for another season....so took the wheels off to repaint them and saw this on the inside tire wall:
So put the wheels back on and called my hook up at Firestone....she has always hooked me and my pals up (got lifetime alignment deal for almost all KC Acurazine members for 30 bucks cheaper ) She didnt have DWS in stock....but she did give me a great deal on a more expensive tire so I decided to get the Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position Re970 AS....what an amazing tire....I will write a review on these once I get back to KC. I already put almost a 1000 miles on them in less than 4 days LOL....
Now it was time to repaint the wheels....since I was short on time, I did not sand my old chipped paint....I just shook the can and sprayed....after couple coats, I took off the self imposed ban on myself....a ban which had forbidden me to use rattle cans...
Here is how they came out (flip flop shot for Jeremy)
Took out the Meguiar's kit to restore my headlights again and this time I used the Spar Utherance and Mineral Spirits to seal it....Thanks Jeremy and Matt for introducing me to this....Decided to touch up the tails as well....here is how it came out:
I didnot have time to completely detail my car, so just gave her a nice bath and applied some Wolfgangs Paint Polish Enhancer...I wanted to follow with Wolfgangs Paint Sealant but ran out of time....
Here is a reflection shot
Wifey's lex in the driveway
Almost done drying
Meko...these are for you....you said you wanted to race
40-60: Flat ground. 1.8seconds
I was going 45, downshifted to 2nd and punched it...
60-80: On a little decline...1.5seconds
On my way to chicago, tried to get a 80-120 but I had to brake around 115 because I was coming up close to traffic
80-100: flat gound...1.8seconds
so 40-100 in 5.1 seconds...I need to try it again and get some 0-120 times....I am pretty sure I can reduce 40-60 times....
Thats it for now....got some more shots on the wifey's phone....will upload them later....

Does that tranny cooler work? I always think about it when it gets hot outside. Making me crazy after it heats up
Adds weight though
Is this it? How does it work? Where do those pipes go?
-
Why you no have TB spacer with that huge... intake?
-
What's "foaming head of the pressure washers" you mean the mist selection? To water tiny little cute flowers?
What's blue dawn? Wouldn't any car wash shampoo work?
-
What are you gonna do with catching oil Donate?
Why not just let it drain off
I like the blue though
-
Who ate your tire?
J. has better flip flop shots
I hate you because of not painting the rims to Magnesium Blue.
FU
What a clean job with headlight and tails
Using your car as a mirror I see.
NOW
Let's get to the numbers.......
I am good at traffic
hahahahaha
F your straight drag numbers, come at me at traffic
While you are jumping from here and there with your skinny corolla, I'll sneak in like a snake and turn you in to full of dust bish

Engine bay looks great. Tails look clean as fuckle. Props on the rattle can but negative points on not sanding. I've grown fond of rattle cans over the years. Where in Ohio? I have relatives in Canton.

Thanks Steven....
hahah...yeah i like the space...Matt wants me to get a third car just to fill the space LOL
Here is the thread on the transmission cooler....It does work according to other folks....I have not been monitoring my transmission fluid temp so I cant say for sure....but after a decent drive on a hot day, I can touch the hoses and feel a little difference in temp between the supply and the return hose

The foaming head of the pressure washer does not pressure the water as much...it just sprays a foaming for the soap you fill in the pressure washer...like this:
http://www.arblueclean.com/photos/Large/PW3080030.jpg
and blue Dawn is this: and i chose this since it is an excellent degreaser...I wash my car with blue dawn as well ONLY when I want to strip off the existing layers of paint and clay the car....
http://media.tumblr.com/c5cbf9ee62ce...zSa1qz4rgp.jpg
No TBS because I didnt want to spend more $$$ on the spacer and gasket since I know I will be going to a different setup
I will be installing the oil catch can and new heads and new valve covers in 3 weeks....more HP and weight reduction is to come
No one ate my tires LOL....I got this set when cash was a little tight and I got it for $150 installed for all 4...yes all 4 tires and installation and balancing for $150...lasted me 50K miles....not bad at all
since they had gotten old and they have a very high treadwear rating, the treads were fine but the sidewalls started cracking....and hence I had to get a new set and that too, quickly...paid just over 500 bucks for the new tires installed and balanced....hope they came with similar luck
I dont think I will be able to pull off mag blue stockies...maybe next year...since they are plastic dipped, I can always peel them off
and J has a better car, I have better flip flop shots
Thank you on the headlights and tail lights..
i dont speed in traffic...i used to cut in and out like a lil mofo....but every since I cut a lady driving an SUV, and she almost lost control (it was a very tight squeeze)....she had (i think) a baby in the back seat....since then I dont cut through in traffic....yes I will cut through in an exit lane in the last minute, but i dont drive like a moron in traffic...
I tried to do this to my girlfriend as well but failed miserably....maybe thats why i am her ex
you can text me anytime....am not online at night usually
Thanks Chris
I will take those negative points buddy....I was in a hurry but I could have still done a better job....
Actually he is in Canton...not sure where exactly...now if he will only text me back LOL

You're going to hurt his feelings!
Anil, good stuff, man...love the updates and glad it all worked out for the head/tail resto. I'd highly recommend the sanding and prepping next go around, that'll help a LOT with the chipping on the highway. You're fine with the rattle can!

Drove right to Firestone and got the tires installed....Took her to a wand wash and sprayed her clean....headed home, had some dinner, poped the rims off and started spraying while I was cleaning the car....once the rims were done, I hit the sack....
woke up, started working and working on the car....cleaning her and doing the 2 other rims....had to take the wifey to the doc for a regular check up, got back home and started working again....done done and done at 830-9PM....headed to Sheridians to meet with the peeps at the meet....
Dude it was very easy....took like 20-25 minutes but sanded down everything, twice, polished with plastic X and sealed with Spar utherane and mineral spirits....
