I don't want to come off as bashing, but safety is the utmost of importance when doing any mod. What I am about to say comes from my experience in racing oval track cars (and building them). Your shoulder harnesses in your car are A) WAY too long to be effective B) the mounting point is too low and 90 degrees out of alignment. If you are in an accident this setup will not do you much-if any-good. It will allow too much forward movement due to the length of the harness and the improperly installed mount. In fact, the mounts will bend and could break. Also, it could compress your spine due to the steep angle of the harness. To do a proper install you would need a roll bar behind the front seats and mount the shoulder harnesses with no more than a 10 degree angle down (never up) from your shoulder height. The mounts should be in the direction of pull on the belts (or a wrap around harness around the role bar). Again, I am not hating or bashing, I just cringe when I see installs like this. There are very specific and narrow windows of which to install harnesses such as these. Did you install 5 point harnesses, or simply 4 point? I enjoy your daring attitude towards modding your car, keep up the great work

as i mentioned earlier I encountered a ton of issues with the interior swap and it got to a point where i put it back together in a piss poor manner....
I will be getting a harness bar (roll bar behind the seat) and install that...i might not be getting a roll cage but I will be getting that harness bar....
again thank you for the info....
I see what you did
Thanks Steve....

I'm glad you didn't take offence. When I built my race cars I spent a lot of time installing the seats and belts (these were fully fabricated framed circle track cars with composite bodies). I would go to http://simpsonraceproducts.com/ and check out their instructions on harness installs. Or www.schrothracing.com/ Schroth Racing has a lot of products for club racing and sedan cars so they might have even better instructions and ideas for your TL. Good Luck!

Steven...you're a Senior Mod (not because of your age)...EVERY day is a good day to be Steven.
Anil...love how you're getting love for the headlights now after so much flak. I have to admit, although initially I was like WTF...the more I see them in good pictures, the more they've grown on me.
J.
Also, your interior doesn't look THAT bad for as much weight as you've removed from the interior.

in the meantime this is what i have been putting up with
2nd gear, foot on the throttle 50-60% (not all the way down), i hit vtec and wheel spin ....i tried the same thing on 3rd gear and the results were exactly the same....am i really spinning 2nd and 3rd gears when vtec kicks in?
I have mixed feelings on this one as I am happy this happens but then again i hate that this happens....
I am running 235/40/18 Firestone Indy 500 UHP Summer tires....they handle amazingly well....
excuse the exhaust drone, am trying something new

Hmm thats cool
I don't know much, just guessing but, if too much power at that point, wouldn't that be a problem with ECU?
Not sure if it's a problem with VTEC but I don't think so
ECU>VTEC>VSA(maybe)
I thought about car being light but if samething happens at 3rd gear... hmmm

^^^ i thought my tires were messed up but I barely have 4000 miles on em....and they are rated as the best Summer tires....
i was gonna leave her in D and see if the problem replicates....it feels like the car is pulling away from me....and I dont have a CEL for the rocker arm/VTEC/etc....the only CEL I have is for the EGR delete...

That's really high in RPM's to be losing traction...
That happens to me but only when I punch it in 1st around 3-5K rpms...then if I shift fast to 2nd too...but for much less time.
What about if you have VSA off?

You can purchase them from USR and they very simple to install and simply overlay on the 04-06 and work perfectly well
I have the ECU but am waiting on couple other things from Rodney....then another mod by the end of September and after than imma lay low for a while

get the back door panels out!!! well the door panels.. however you need to keep the power window switches connected if you want to roll down your windows... the annoying part is since you removed the panels you have no where to put them! .. how fat are you now... I mean how much does your care weigh now?
