I need to hear your car before i order the procats.

Its safe to say they add ~20whp with the blower.

BEFORE

AFTER

Here is the 2nd installment of the compilation. I have been working alot lately so I don't have much time to toy around with the vehicle. I made a few short clips from an empty parking lot and unfortunately a police officer stopped by. He claimed he heard the loudness from the vehicle and thought we were street racing there. Upon arrival, he was surprised to see only my car there... after an exchange of few words, he decided it was ok and did not give me a ticket. I told him... "it's better me doing a short clip here than on the street." He complimented the car and we both left the lot safe and sound. (hence you see COPS stopped by in the clip)

it's not much.. but I did capture the sound

Headers you are referring is the PRO-CATS correct? Unless you have a 2nd generation TL... I don't believe there are any "aftermarket headers" made for our 3G-TL.

As I stated in post #25

I don't need a 600whp vehicle, if I did, I could just get a Toyota Supra and put a big SINGLE in it.
Overall, I'm very happy with it.
It's not going to make you feel like you're in a Mustang Cobra or a Chevy Corvette ZO6. But it does have significant gains on the horsepower and you'll feel the difference. Our cars lack torque, so you won't feel the pull that you normally would get from a powerful domestic V8s. On the highway, when I stomp on it... it's EXTREMELY fast, especially from 65~100mph. Is it worth the money? It's totally up to you. The signature whine is extremely loud and noticible. You'll get attention under WOT and the car is alot of fun.
If you want to know what it feels like, you can come down to this meet. I'll take you for a ride and see for yourself if you want a S/C or not.

When my buddies 03 Cobra was stock, about 2 weeks ago, we went from a dead stop till 70mph and he got me by 1&1/2 car lengths. We shut it down after that. That car did 12.9's in the 1/4 mile now 11.9's after he modded it. But the majority of the win was off the line. He got me by 1 length off the line, and I stayed 1 length behind him till 60 where he started to pull from me again.

Part of the reason we dont feel the trq is because we have 5AT. The torque converter takes a lot away. Remember driving in RYAN97812 TL, I felt the trq a lot more in his car than I ever do in mine, and we both ran around the same times at the track. He has 6MT supercharged and I am 5AT supercharged with the addition of E-Shift pro cats and BF goodrich drags on front. If he had those, I am sure he will be pulling very low 13's, right next to a stock 03 Cobra. The tires helped me a whole lot.

I'll make a 3rd video this upcoming weekend as I finally will have some free time to play with the car. Friday night againstallodds1 and I will be hitting the track and I'll have a film of it.

The 3rd vid was pretty good. Too bad the G35 didn't want to play with ya. That would be a perfect car to run against just to see how the S/C will hold with that car.

I beat one pretty nice the other day. Me and Jack (AcuraDriver2006) are going to Atco tomorrow night. He wants to get some videos of me and him running. Maybe we will get a video of both of us running each other!

You got to get Drag Radials on the fronts. To get your 60' down to 2.11 or lower. Then you will definately be there. Make sure you have 1/8 th tank of gas or lower.

Ya....I will get some when I get to that stage. Figured I had better be able to stop first...so I plopped down a huge chunk of cash just this week on some Rotora 4 piston calipers front and rear, with 2 peice rotors front and rear too.....so I got to get over that hit and move onto the SC phaze of the project next. Needed to get the brake setup for this event here (I am #31).... http://www.wingedwarrior.net/RosterTeamImport.html as I figured the stock setup will suck big time. If I can get a good stopping mode...I can thrash it from there pretty good and just ride the limits of the suspension and tires till they puke (suspension is A-spec and I have ?'s of it holding up in this type of event....tires will be fine). But when I get to the supercharger phaze next....man I am also just figuring in the budget some drag tires too.

Seriously, what is the point of BBK... you're not running an extremely fast car... is it me or you just getting it for looks? Stock 5AT brake pad works just as good for minor mods and hell... it works great for S/C TLs. If you have a 6MT, the brembo pads work nicely as well... I really don't see the point of spending over $1000 on something you REALLY don't freaking need.

Having that said.............. what's the cheapest BBK out there

i got it because i was always used to a car that would stop on a dime...the TL no way stopped on a dime for me...i hated the stock setup and the bbk was one of my first mods and since i got the bbk its been nite and day. I drive kinda hard and sometimes have the tendency to late brake because im used to have goood brakes..thats just me..and plus it looks good.

P.S...sweet videos and congrads on the S/C

^ it does look very good. I oversaw your post in the other thread... so which brand would you recommend since you've had just about every brand except the Brembo.

Jack drive a car with a big brake kit, and you will see the difference. Your foot really has to do noooo work for the car to stop, and it stops quickly. As you know in the 5AT supercharged, the only gear that is fun is 2nd. Because 1st switches to second automatically but in SS you can hold 2nd. By the time you make peak HP in 2nd gear you are at 68mph, then you have to stop fast and my stock breaks arent doing it for me, even with the scortched a-spec pads.
Oh by the way what is your mph at the trap with a 24.9999sec 1/4mile.

Hopefully againstallodds1 girlfriend can video tape our track run tomorrow night, then I'll have more later.

Yea she will do it, but my camera only holds 15secs of video. She have to start it at the 3rd yellow light, that way she will be able to get the times.

Well I dont know about your time 24 secs, my camera doesnt take videos that long. LOL

If you really ever do any serious driving....the stock 5AT rotors will warp on you due to undue heat build-up. Put it this way....I think they last about 6 laps of high speed runs on a track before they are warped. Not to mention as they heat up....you encounter fade and such....not a good thing. With more pistons to spread the heat across and greater squeeze power as well not to mention a good 2 pc rotor....the heat is greatly reduced due to the size of rotor, the fact it is 2 pc (disk ring rides on a carrier) also helps reduce fade and warpage. This is the main reason I got them. For everyday driving though; your right...waste of money....nice still though!

^ yeah Mike. I'm just running them till the pads are low and ready for new ones. Then I'll go through Rasheel for those BBKs... right now I don't really need them yet. Eventually, I'd get it upgraded for some serious stopping power . Since I got the S/C, I haven't really drove it hard, been busy with work and when I out of work, I just feel like relaxing and not drive fast...

There's a funny thing about my s/c. Maybe it's just me... prior to the s/c I used to hold it in 2nd gear till 3500 RPM with SS mode and punch it. The car will pull like crazy, but I'm not really feeling that with the S/C.... (I need those gauges installed to see if everything is alright).

Tomorrow at the track, we'll find out there's something wrong with the car or not. I should be getting under 14 secs... we'll see.
