Supercharger installation compilation

Here is a clip of my Comptech Supercharger installation. Special thanks to Ryan (Ryan97812), couldn't have done it without you.
If any of you needs your supercharger installed in the Tri-State area (NY/NJ/PA) or even Maryland/Virginia, I highly recommend him. He's very professional and does excellent job.

enjoy

<---- in process of making clip 2.
Clip 2 will involve track runs, open road runs without traffic and empty parking lot runs. However, it won't have any street races for safety matters.

To tell you the truth. I have no clue. when I hit Vtec, the car starts to hesitate and I lose power. I hope its just bad gas and the ECU is just reacting but well see once this tank is empty.

Awesome vidoe, Awesome install. I want more of "acceleration" videos.

Is there a power surge at VTEC switchpoint or is it consistant throughout the entire rev range?

The surge happens right before you go onto boost during moderate acceleration. However, under WOT, you won't feel it at all. I'm not one of those guys who would complain about every little thing (NOT DIRECTING AT ANYONE). Comptech should be aware of this issue and further investigate to resolve this issue. But in the end, it's a "small" price to pay for additional 65whp. I'm not the type of a guy who gets a S/C and goes out to look for kills or races. I got it because I love the sound of the S/C whine.

My college buddy has a Turbo IS300, I'd like to run against him sometime this weekend. I'm in process of developing a closed course acceleration clip. I work alot and don't have much time to drive around for fun, so I'll do it something this weekend along with my buddies.

I'm sure this is THE QUESTION many of you ask yourselves....
Question is if this is worth it? It really depends on what you want. If you want something Fast and has crazy torque. Then you ought to trade it in for an American V8. There is no replacement for displacement. But if you want a COMPLETE PACKAGE (luxury ride, classy interior, great looking navigation, roomy, and to die for styling plus some power to own if others decide to pick on you,) then COMPTECH S/C is right for your car. I don't need a 600whp vehicle, if I did, I could just get a Toyota Supra and put a big SINGLE in it.

Overall, I'm very happy with it.

For those of you live in NY/NJ/PA/Maryland or even Virginia, if you want S/C installed, pm Ryan97812 for more detail. I highly recommend him

Didnt Comptech say that they had a fix for this if you would send them your ECU for a reflash? Just wondering.....? I thought I read that at some point about a month back here on AZ.

I was checking out the video and I seen an arm with a tatoo of prayer hands on it. I was like oh shit thats my arm. Also the video of me and Jack getting on the Atlantic City expressway, and in the tunnel in AC. Like the video alot. I went to Atco tonight and pulled a 13.75 at 102 mph. Yes I love it.

Hey Mike if you get one you will have everything that I have, and right now I have the fastest 3rd gen time slip. You will be up there too. Just with a pair of BF Goodrich drags up front. After that night at the track I will give some of the credit too the ProCats. Most of it to the Blower though, but I know the E-Shift pro cats helped alot.

Well, MA isn't all that far from Jersey. It's only a 5 hour drive Com'on down and have Ryan97812 install it for you, then we'll a AM color .

Paul, yeah, I didn't do any acceleration videos so I incorporated yours in there Plus the tunnel clip was amazing, even though it didnt come out as loud as it should have on the clip.

Have you retested on a dyno since you have had them installed for a while....?

Basically what I see is this....

$4000 for a supercharger making 60HP....right...thats about $67 per HP.

$1050 for ProCat setup making 12HP gain....thats about $87.50 per HP (in your case)

Thats not bad math there man....I wouldnt be all that upset? $20 more per HP for about a 25% investment of the supercharger cost....I would say that is still a good value for the money spent? Otherwise...if you feel that you are not getting a good value...take em off and I am sure somebody will buy em here!

Its funny how our situations were reversed, whichever way you look at it SAE or STD. I got 22 whp and 16 ft/lbs SAE with the procats, but didn't even come close to your numbers with the S/C. Your SAE numbers are very impressive.
