Supercharged TL on spray

I hooked the nitrous kit up yesterday and ran a pass at the track. 13.407 at 107.29 mph. 35 shot. Terrible 60' 2.14. My best 60' without spray is 2.09. Let off 3 times out of the hole, spun and alot of wheel hop. That is a 12 second time. Just got to come out the hole better. I have to learn how to launch the car again. I only have the kit hooked up, no purge, no bottle warmer, no pressure gauge, and no drive by wire window switch. Ryan will be doing that soon. I never had wheel hop with this car before yesterday.
I can say that I am loving this nitrous though.

We got a video at the track last night. Not good quality, but it looks good.
Once I get the purge hooked up you will see a nice video.

Good job Paul, you'll get that 12.9x pass after i hook up the drive by wire, heater and purge. Well you got me beat in this car. Now you have to build something to beat the race car. HAHAHA

Got something cooking, and you have a idea, just have to wait a few months.

Grats! careful with adding too much power your motor isn't built properly.

did you get a direct injection? where are you feeding the nitrous?

nice 13.4.

imo, fill your front/rear main motor mounts with polyurethane. if your ambitious fill the passenger side mount while your at it.

this should keep wheel hop down and i'm sure you can tap into 12s.

nice, with some kind of ecu upgrade, i bet you could push a 50 shot. oh and if you have access to a lift, you should be able to drop out the motor mounts from the bottom one at a time. youd be suprised at what a diff it makes.

I am wondering if I can get away with 1 pass down the track with a 50 shot. I think so What do you think? Jets 35 shot = 31 nitrous, 18 fuel.
50 shot = 35 nitrous 22 fuel.
I think one pass, she will survive with a 50shot.

if you can afford it, see where your AFR sits with the 35 shot on a dyno. or do you have an AFR gauge? i believe your able to adjust FPR, richen it up a bit before you run the 50 shot...

i think it would survive a pass... but will it do damage in long run? i may have missed it, but what gear / RPMs are you spraying?

i would be more concerned about the tranny than the motor. the j32a2 in the 2nd Gen CL is practically indestructible, i've seen guys over rev into high 7,000s into 8,000 rpms and just recently all_motor was driving around with a cylinder down, but the car still ran (but he had been boosting in the 400+ hp numbers). good luck. feel free to shoot me PMs. i get busy, but i try to answer them.

I am running the water/methanol injection kit whichs makes it run richer and adds octane. I think I am going to add the bigger jet (375) to get more octane and prevent knock.
I am pretty much hitting it out the hole. As soon as the tires grab about 3k rpms in first I am going to arm the switch. Its going to be a one time thing. The tranny is holding great. Its is set for now at WOT at the pedal.

Accuratein, I will try to get someone to take a video, I have a camera that takes 15 sec videos. Hopefully it will work. If my girl goes Ill get her to take the video. I will try to get someone to tape it with a regular camcorder.

nice, i dont mind meeting halfway, either. im not sure where atlantic city is in relation to things. imo.. wait for me before sendings yours to them. as far as i know, im the first on the boards that will be testing their 5AT. but i'll be giving it a beating! you would def benefit from at least strengthening your torque converter, let alone a stronger tranny. yikes, maybe we will be seeing a mid 12 sec TL? fully loaded interior too?

^ I remember reading a thread awhile back regarding to FPR defect. But then again, it could be something you did wrong during the installation.

My friend, you're in New Jersey!! Ryan97812 lives in New Jersey......... meaning for $400 dollars, you shoulda gone with him. I cannot stress how good of an installer he is. Go to him, fuck Acura dealership.

Paul,

I just called my buddy, he's not sure if he wants to head down to ATCO tonight. The weather looks like it'll T-storm soon.... so we'll see what happens.

Nice set up and you definitely got the fastest TL I know.

Jack no rain for Atco tonight. Everyone here needs you, so you can bring your video camera and record it, me smoking my friends EVO8. He got a stage 4 clutch put in last week and now he thinks he can get a 12.?. Mee too, I think I can get a 12.?. We will see.

I haven't ran mine since I got the turbo but the fastest time without was a 13.9 @ 101 but that was a while ago but I'm sure I will have the fastest 2gen if not the fastest tl unless there is a "strictly race" one out there.

Could be wrong but that's just my opinion.

Wouldn't mind a turbo 2gen vs s/c 3gen w/ nitrous, etc

Don't know if I have seen it on a 3gen tl but one of the turbocharge cl-s' has a direct port nitrous express setup also.
