You know what I listen to ppl I know and I'm problably wasting my time. Race is off. It won't happen because he 1st chooses his tl then chooses his BMW and threaten me with his gm. Wtf who does that? He won't let me use meth and now he wants the bottle. It was all about his suspension and now he wants the bottle. I'm done with him that's why I do to take advice from him

and here comes the backing out....

hes using the TL, the bmw and GN were never in the race. it was a hypothetical statement. so dont use that reasoning to decline the race.

this is how it was supposed to go down. Use both cars in AS IS daily form. That is the WHOLE point of this. You use your 300+ whp tl with bridgestone tires, and IHC uses his base TL with a couple mods. You have a huge advantage in power, no reason to back out.

Seriously, stop twisting the words, this is the final say. race or not?

Backing out of this race that you never had any intention of seeing through was the smartest thing I've seen you do. Matt is a seasoned racing dude with lineage that knows the wheelings, dealings, and probably the ass whoopins for people that don't show up, or try and leave without paying. He'd beat you on or off the track, figuratively or otherwise and guess what...if he lost, he'd own it and not complain about it.

Let's let this race nonsense die and get back to technical stuff. I want to make sure this thread is open so next summer when its hot and Dav melts a piston it will still be in this thread.

Not sure but it's kicking ass right now. I hate to give it back. We did visuals on the piping and there's enough room for a resonator and I think vibrant makes one. I have to take it down to Marcus fab guy so he can take the dimensions. The 3inch piping is loud and sound real nice. Only this is I have rasp because of pcd

Just discovered the tail end of this thread. Best 30 minutes at work ever, even if it gets me fired from cackling uncontrollably at our reception desk

Dav you're such a character. Despite the various incarnations of dick waving, there is actually a lot of useful advice in this thread posted by many members which I am grateful for.

don't get your hopes up like I did beating on my chest, the burn outs was incredible, the whine broke necks but a supercharger is weak for the cost of everything. go turbo or nitro. basically the TL is weak in AUTOMATIC form. get a 6 speed and boost. youll be smoking srt8's in all forms

Wasn't Tim doing that just by doing the TL diet and reducing weight?
Turbo has a high cost too though, especially since there aren't any bolt on kits (that I know of).

Man this would look badass on a TL - if only there had been a little more progress in retrofitting an M90 to the MP62 charger Comptech used on these cars

Does he have a hood with a cutout? I'm all about function but damned if form isn't getting raped in the ass on that car.

Reminds me of all the J-swapped EKs and EGs I've seen - I definitely agree that the final product ain't gonna be pretty lol, although it will be interesting to see a Cobra-style hood on an Accord

LOL, I agree. I love the idea and implementation, just hate the resulting look. I don't think you could fab up a cowl hood that would look absurd to clear that.

I was thinking about fabbing up a plenum that would sit much lower, yet clear the power steering pulley, and maybe only need those stupid looking hood risers. I'm not sure if a. it can still clear with only hood risers, or b. if it would be worth the investment.

A supercharged setup is only worth doing if you can do it on the cheap. If I could get away with an m90 setup for under $1000, it would be worth it, as a DIY turbo setup can be done for around $1500 - $2000 and make much more power, as well as being intercooled.
