Paul has stroked a j32 to a 3.6 using j37 crank and rods, and 05RL pistons...thats pretty much the maximum displacement you're going to get out of these engines without boring it. Type-S heads will fit also.

You're looking good for Friday btw

The type-S TL head fits the base model? What kind of horsepower gains are we talking about? Can it be done with nothing else upgraded?

^^i dont think you have significant gains...just the benefit of letting the engine breathe better and stiffer valve springs. i could be wrong tho

the only problem with the 3.7 build, cause i talked to him extensively about this, is that the 3.7 is strickly for N/A application only. the only way to us F/I for the 3.7 is to resleeve the block. the J36 however will give u basically the same power, it is like a 5-10 hp/torque difference and u can run safely 10lbs of boost on a j36. paul is the man to talk to.

Don't want to get off topic but paul is the man he definitely knows his stuff. He's putting a Honda accord tranny in my cls. He mentioned that the tranny was from a guy that he did a manual swap, by any chance is this you?

Cool so, this was of your 03 accord? How many miles were on your tranny before he took it out?

with just the heads the gains aren't huge but they are noticeable, you have stiffer springs, tl's cams (suppose to be 2lbs lighter then the base 3.2 cams), and i think the valves might be a couple MM's bigger (Not positive though) but its definately worth it to me and im actually in the process of buying some type s heads to build that motor you gave me!!
