i am putting my stock exhaust back on and i had sold the 14'' magnaflow res and i through away the original one and theres no mid-pipe on it either. has anyone had theres done like that and if so how did it sound so i know if i need to get another res for it.

Yes many plp have done this, it's called stage 4 exhaust. I wouldn't recommend running stage 4 it sounds horrible to me, I would get another resonator. You can also YouTube Acura Tl stage 4 and it should bring up a video for u and give u a idea what it would sound like if u did run it.

I have it done to my car, stage 4. mid-muffler and res delete. And I like it. There's a little rasp around 2.5, but anything higher sounds good. And really, your never really puttin around at 2.5 anyway.

I guess when i tried stage 4 i also had no cats so it made the rasp A LOT WORSE, I guess try it and if you dont like it buy another resonator.

I was going to do this, but went stage 3 i think its called. Bought a dynomax resonator and took out the mid muffler, not raspy and sounds good.

I just youtubed a stage 4, no resonator no muffler and it sounds terrible.

No mid muffler and a Dynomax/Magnaflow res is the best way to go.

Youtube will also not give you any idea to the actual sound. Off some crappy camera mic. It's not nearly as bad as is sounds on there. But I would recommend a mangaflow. I'm gonna get one now too... $50, Can't go wrong. Sounds a little cheap I think without it...
