I will disclose a few details....

It will be custom all the way a straight copy of the skunk2 tsx catback.... as a resonator I am using an Aero Resonator...

well the funny thing is we just used some of the stock portions... so pretty much we are like stage 1 with upgraded mufflers..lol

 

hahaha oh yeah you guys changed it up..but still sounds suh-weet.

If you guys are still worried about the drone and want to hear what mine sounds like broken in, let me know.

 

this by all means is a temporary solution I am going to get a nice resonator later... but I don't know if it will remain temporary since the back pressure got slightly better and it puts it down.... can't wait to get my new wheels/tires on next week

yeah, the round tip actually looks nice with the square opening. I didn't like the idea of round tips at first, but it's definitely gives more aggressive look but not that aggressive.

 

yeah, the shape of the muffler (oval) is the problem installation wasn't too bad. just had to trim a little.

as Al pointed out, no more stage 3. but I will try to get a vid anyway.

it's worse for auto. either smaller diam and longer resonator or a midmuffler should help a little. if there was no drone, I would have left it alone.

nah it's not THAT bad, but can get annoying sometimes. I might just go with a hushpower responator

 

get a mid muffler + ur stage 3 noticed significant hushing after my mid muff install haha

Werd man the mid muffler really takes care of the cabin drone... at wot I don't even hear the exhaust... and at 1500-3500 rpms the drone is definitely held to a minimum

 

that's the thing with manuals. you can control the rpm better than autos.

You're in the same place I'm in right now. The drone is definitely annoying.

I've got the magnaflow 6x27 due in on Thursday and I'm going to put it in immediately.

I'm hoping this will help. If it doesn't, I might be going back to stock.

 

there are people with custom catback + aftermarket mufflers. some have tried straight pipe + aftermarket mufflers also.

people usually start with stage 3 but end up with something different/hybrid or complete custom.
