A full cat-back in ti usually only weighs about 5-7 pounds...not to mention the weight savings you wallet will be making as well.

the first one is from a 350Z
the second is from a RL which can be modded to fit
i just wanna get the mufflers which are about $1000
considering that its AMUSE and noone else will have the same exhaust as you its worth it!

 

Alright so Today was the day I was going to get my TopSpeed Pro1's put on and so I went to 4 different shops, 1 of them said it would be a very tough job and they dont feel comfortable doing it. Second one, the guy wasn't there, but I mean I saw atleast 2 random guys just standing there that could have checked it out. Third place tried to make me feel stupid by barely looking at it, threw a random 200 up and then when I told him people have been getting mufflers installed for around 60-70, made some rude comment about how I dont know about exhausts? I kinda just stared at him for a second and laughed and walked out. Fourth place told me to bring it in tomorrow morning, and this place seems better than the rest so we'll see how it works out.

Apparently the first guy said that the pipes on the TL were really thin compared to the muffler (2.5inch) and blah blah and how it's kind of REALLY hard to do that work? ahh it pisses me off

wow I've never heard of that.. thin pipe... wow... TL stock diameter is in between 2.25 and 2.5 which is ~2.36.... you can easily weld a 2.5 over 2.36 and done...

200 up is ridiculous for muffler installation...max i would pay for (just muffler) is 100, depends on the shop, they charge by each side it appears, mine charged 25 per muffler install, total was 50 for the muffler install plus new piping after the Y pipe.

lol u shouldve shown them ur dynomax, that is 2.5" to the stock's 2.3" OD piping. (well i think 2.3, it surly look 2.1" ID when i looked at my muffler)

Ok so I got the topspeed pro1's in and at first, they were LOUDDDDDDDDD like EXTREMELY LOUD. I was soo pissed haha but it's not like I should have expected anything else. I have the silencers in and it sounds alot better. ib18c1 was right, the drone was KILLER. It was so bad I had to pull over to the side after 5 minutes and put the silencers in haha. Anyways so im thinking of keeping the silencers in for now and than get a new resonator? We'll see I like how they are now though. I'll post some videos up

I'd say leave on ur dynomax and get a magnaflo midmufflwr installed, or u can install ur oem midmufflwr back?

What do you think of the exhaust as of right now though?

 

I need a side view like Slammed_jdm has one... like so I can see how high it is and if it needs to be a tad lower so on and so forth...

 

Ok so after riding around for an hour without the silencers..its not that bad, at all really..I think I was just pissed the first day due to the coming from pretty uch stock sound to a really deep tone. I had my brother rev the engine and it is alot deeper in person but overall im really satisfied with it. Resonator is still a though..

I will fess up we were doing some measurements for the project... nothings been done yet except but the cut of the mufflers... they were off I hit the gas and laughed my ass off at how crazy it was and how many tickets I would get... so I put a clamp on the cutt till someone buys em...

As for the mufflers I went with THAT IS A COMPLETE SURPRISE...
