Single Muffler?
Single Muffler?
I know this sounds crazy but has anyone just changed one rear muffler?
I ran an exhaust shop for a while and a common cadillac mod was changing one rear muffler. It gave them a good tone at wot but was very quiet at cruising

Sound and power both,The factory mufflers look to be the restrictive part of the sysytem.Replacing just one of the rear mufflers opens it up just enough to make a little more flow but splits the flow between the two and keeps it on the quiet side. With the cadillacs repacing both gave a horrible drone with the factory sysytem. As for price a magnaflow 11225 sets me back about $65.Plus the factory sysyem doesnt really hang straight anyways
As for the dyno I would only assume it would negate minimal hp gain ,2-3 hp.A full system with 2.5 and cans such as the greddy is 7-10 from what I read and not worth the cash IMO.I am going to swap the drivers side because of the flange,I realize the passenger has less tubing but I found a good drivers at a junkyard cheap
