Secret weapon R install

First post and have searched threads for days

Ordered the secret weapon R intake for TL-s 2008.
Can someone help with instructions i.e. pics.

Do I leave the resonator and piping on ?
Do I just have to remove the filter box ?

Thank you all

I recently install the Weapon R Dragon intake. It is very similar to the Secret intake. Check out this thread with pics: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/just-few-new-pics-645158/

Installation is very easy. Just unplug the hose and take out the stock airbox and tube. And slide the SRI right in. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. I left the stock resonator in since I didn't want to remove the bumper. And it sounds GREAT! Let me know if you need any more help.

There is only one tube you need to connect. Use the hose that comes with the Weapon R kit. You might need to cut it down because it is too long. And just attach one end to the other. Done! Real easy.

Thanks VTEC

So you added the "extender" that comes for free with this purchace ?
Did you have to remove any old parts i.e. removing wheel well cover, bumper etc.

How do you like it ?
Mostly going for sound as long as I dont have decrease in power I am happy.

Any problems for amateur doing this ??

Thanks again for your post.

yes, you need the bracket to keep it in places. You to blend and shape it to the original bolts of the stock intake. You can choose any but the easies one is the closers to the battery. Hope this helps.

Why do you need to provide the instructions? He already did the install.

anyone think that extended pipe does anything(V-tec posted the pics)? just wondering

and cant you guys just loosen the plastic covers a bit(bottom of bumper and wheel well) to get the resonator out, that's what I did on my CL. I did have to jack the car up though, the thing is pretty big. I would take that out if it's not too much work, less weight and more airflow.

You have to remove the bumper in order to get all that plastic out. There is a bolt that needs to be removed and only accessible after removing bumper. But removal of bumper is not hard at all

^ false... everything can be removed without taking the bumper off... the besy way is to first drill out the 2 studs (from underneath) drop all the plastic you can down and unscrew the 2 10mm bolts 1 from above and 1 from beneath, they are easy as pie... it takes me on average anywhere from 30mins to 45mins to do intake install (would take a full 20more minutes just on r&r of the front bumper)
