yep, were basically screwed. the SC needs to be taken out to change the spark plugs, but good thing they last a looong time.

when installing a SC, just make sure not to cheap out on the battery. get a good one that will last! im thinking about getting an optima battery and relocating it to the trunk.

heres where the battery is \/

yup! been down that battery change-out road already! I had a "used autolite"....yeah, I know, I know. Live and learn. Rockin the interstate also. good battery. DOn't get optima....they're junk. I had a red-top and murdered it in a little over a year, but I was running 1700 watts RMS int the trunk. Besides that, I haven't heard anything good about those colorful cells.

PR2 Spacer on S/C

I was told the PR2 would would not fit with S/C installed due to a elbow I read your mods and seend spacer/ gaskets with S/C and is the custom aem intake really better than the ice box. I have both but currently using the ice box. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

Sun Hyper vOltage

I did use a stubby gear wrench to fit in there enought to remove battery post and connect cables doubt theres enough room to pull battery since my hand would barely make it. Thanks again

I had both outlaw spacers installed for a lil while but I recently removed the intake manifold spacer because, yes, it does throw the s/c elbow alignment off a bit and I didn't like it. Performance remains the same, though. But the throttle body spacer fits great at the new TB location w/ a custom cold air intake. There, it has no effect on the s/c elbow.

As for icebox vs CAI, sorry bro, can't compare. But I see many boosted guys lean towards custom CAI because the stock s/c intake set up is pretty shitty, right in the hot engine compartment.

CAI on SC/TL

I was thinking to use custom aem cai, and trying to fabricate a shield sorta like what is used on the ice box to keep cooler air coming in and maybe there would be some gain isn't there more air with cai closer to the ground? I already have CT Exhuast ,SC, UR Pulley, Sun VOltage stabilzer and ground kit. I have spacer kit but haven't installed yet and that was if I was going to remove icebox and go to cai. Is there really anything left I heard of upcoming flash but you prob know how that is. anyday or now or who knows. So yeah any options that are reallistic? Doesn't geddy offer some emanage piggyback ecu does that give any increase? Well thanks for the heads up. Just wonder if spacer with cai will give any difference at all maybe if heat from engine is shielded I guess.

I think a shielded CAI would be uneffective. I doubt any hot engine air would even get close to the under-bumper area where the filter is. From my experience, the intake mani spacer is useless; temps still get pretty damn high all over the manifold with or without it. However, the TB spacer is pretty damn effective. After a short drive, you can feel a big temp diff, between the spacer (TB/intake tubing to s/c inlet) Reflash is available, high boost reflash is soon to come. I don't know anything about e-manage, but reflash gets you very significant gains. Some type of managment is A MUST. Some guys have ported and polished, changed to type-s cams and done custom j-pipes, but who knows what kinda gains they got and if they are cost-efffective at all.

CAI on SC with TB Spacer.

Cool thanks for the TB spacer input, but to use the TB Spaer I must use CAI instead of icebox due to elbow. So the AEM CAI wth Tb space is a plus over ice box alone on the sc intake? I think it's a yes your saying. And to try to shield te intake pipe to seperate the heat isn't really gonna help not sure how I wold other than fabricate a plastic piece sorta like the ice box. Oh I also have Sun voltage Gt and ground kit would like to run ground wire from altenator it doesn't seem to be accessed. The voltage kit does help thougt with ground kit. Does anyone start from L instead of D? The tiptronic is ok I guess even after first still seems like D is better and ofcourse L is best from standing still. Thanks

Hondata Reflash

Ohh Yeah I checked Hondata's website for TL S/C Reflash still no sign. I assume it's available if you live in Cali and will drive there? But I called to see if it was available after checking website and they said it would be posted when it was available or there would be info on release on website when there was news for release I have seen neither. Did it give you more HP after reflash could you really feel difference does it give more horsepower only due to higher rpm or just all around set up for better speed?
