Polished ASSSSS baby!
The "first" batch all had the smaller dual tips that fit the base opening (I THINK). They were a test run, kinda and no other options were available.

Sorry to disappoint!

If I had to guess

The guy's at RV6 (Richie) is not one to dissapoint. I am betting he is waiting on some final items to come back from polishing or completing the final welds somewhere. I would think the next pictures that are posted will be of the full system and shipping would start shortly after. The pictures might be removed since they will be straight car porn for us but it will be a wonderfull sight while they are up. The only question is the tips what will the choices be...

I put in my deposit March 20, 2012 and I am #20 on the list (if no one dropped out).

Original date was to be early May, so I hope it's not a year... but from the sound of someone's post above the first 10 have been contacted for tip finish choices?? Hope I see that email soon

Rockstar - Looks really good man. What wheels are on there? very clean.

Thank you fellas, they're Work XC8's.

I love the exhaust, man. No, the first batch had a normal chrome finish...no options. From the first post in here, I was under the impression that the new batches would be either chrome or black chrome.

I will say this...Richie is no joke...he really does put a lot of thought into the system fitting and sounding perfectly. I've already gotten spoiled and can't remember what rasp sounds like, even with high flow cats and a v3 jpipe. Zero rasp or drone. Crazy. The welds are precise, the finish on the mufflers is mirror like. The adjustment clamp is very well engineered and makes it very easy to fine tune tip placement. And even the welding and angle of the tips...they match the flow of the bumper exactly. That's why I'm really looking forward to what Richie comes up with when he DOES make a unique base opening tip. In the meantime, I'm 1 billion percent satisfied.

Thanks fellas...
Boston, did you have bigger tips welded on? They look great...if I were buying new, I'd probably opt for the black chrome!

Boston, looks great - especially after a year and a half... I was planning on black chrome tips as well for my MRP Type-S. Think the red/black will look pretty good.
Did the finish on the tips start to wear off at all or is that just the light playing tricks? Just curious.
Thanks again

By the way, Richie responded to me today since I emailed him directly with a question. I am #20 still I think, and he said to expect delivery in 1-2 months towards that end of the list. Just wanted to let people know if they haven't heard.
Cheers.

thanx and not what you are seeing is the tips dirty from soot build up(car running pretty rich with tune and no cats so I don't clean the tips as often as I should, but no there is no fading just dirty

I'd like to see them clean! My shifter, is black chrome and it's starting to lose the blackness to it. If it does fade, you'd be better off sticking with chome IMO.

I was able to drive through a tunnel in Mobile Alabama on my vacation to Florida last week and DAMN what a rush hearing this exhaust with windows down.

I also have 1st batch and the tips are type S black chrome and bigger. Same as BostonS has. Only pics I have are when new. I would also need to polish mine before showing them here.

You're right Rockstar.
Guys, black chrome tip finish is not available on 2nd batch. Richie said he received a few complaints from members who got BC finish on 1st batch after a year. It really doesn't matter to me. I actually changed my mind and was gonna send him email, but he sent me email before i did. There will be RV6 logo etched on side of tips though. He said he finished 9 so far. So it's gonna be soon for those first 10 people. I can't wait!!!!!

Yay, I guessed right!

9 done in 4 months...holy fk...poor guy, he must be running a 1 man sweat shop! At this pace and profit margin, he'd be his own full time employee and won't make enough to cover a year's salary for the poor guy. I'd be shocked if he followed up with many more "other" batches!

Either way, a logo etched on the chrome is going to look amazing.

Yea I did drive through a parking garage at the casino in Shreveport LA on the way back. That was pretty cool with all the echoing. Stayed in 1st the whole time just to get some rpm's behind me.

Then as soon as I let off the gas I get that 3 step rumble ALWAYS and I love it.
Kinda sounds mustangish. Hard to explain but everytime I let off the throttle I get that little rumble. Sounds so badass.

^^^

since I have a dedicated X in my exhaust, the rumble is a tad bit more...so when am coasting to a stop (off the gas and in any gear) the car rumbles to a stop....i truly love that sound....

I think Richie has done great with this exhaust....sounds awesome...no rasp/drone (unless you have PCD's) and the sound/tone is just awesome....
