I'm sure once Richie nails down his process, it'll be a much shorter turn around time.

Disclaimer: These tips are the quad tipped base from the original 8 units that Richie made. They fit base TL openings and are NOT the same as the Type S quad tips from this thread so don't freak out that my tips are small.

Richie, thanks for an amazing product. I'm very happy and I'm sure you all will be too.
I'm not unhappy with the quad tips, they fit the opening perfectly. And let me tell you guys...this guy did not just throw a couple of pipes and couplers together...he put thought into the clearance between the two tubes and difference sized clamps and even the pinkish colored separator with allen wrench bolts you use to perfectly align the tips and then tighten.

This exhaust is worth every penny and I wish him continued success on the future builds of it. I still will look forward to whatever dedicated base tip you end up designing (sorry for being a PITA about it...) and hope it'll be something that I can buy from you and have it retro'd onto this system by a welder. If not, I have to say that the tips are a great fit and finish and look awesome...they only look small because of the rolled lip.

J.

I will try and get some more vids, all!

I'm super happy with this purchase. I can tell you guys that there is NO drone at highway speeds and no rasp at ANY RPM.

PM:
redbirds (Cory, guy I bought my exhaust from)
ebelp (John, friend).

Both of them are potentially looking to get ATLP.

lol the exhaust will rasp. I went through 3 resonators with the atlp either its too silent or it will be a bit raspy .. The best combo is when you get the jpipe from them too but if u have the v3 and hfpc already you should've went with the dual from richie.

rockstar your exhaust setup sounds great mannn its friggin awesomeeee. Im still debating wether to purchase the rv6 true dual exhaust v2 batch or the atlp v2 quads resonated. Its still hard to tell with the videos really.Ughhh I just want the nice exotic tone. I know like you and lidsss are around my neck of the woods. So since he ordered his atlp i guess that would be the best comaprison for me since I already have the rv6 v3 j pipe with Hfcs

If you're around, I'd gladly meet you somewhere around Pines/Sunrise to let you hear it in person. But i warn you, if you hear it. You will buy it.

Also, here's a good in cabin vid I made yesterday with various open window comparisons to minimize wind.

So any good word on that next run I am still holding the money to the side to pay for the exhaust in full. I won't be able to even put it on until January but I still want it to be there to put on when I get back.

Don't I know it buddy...I'm getting used to it, on for a day or 2, then goes away for 2 weeks. Same 2 codes...has to do with my eshift procats...but I'll live with it no issue. I would do NOTHING right now change the tone/sound of this exhaust.

FK YES IT DOES! And once you get it, you're not worried about it...especially if you have the bluetooth OBD and torque app...clear it when I want and read it when I want.

Hey hey hey, buddy...you're welcome! I'm very impressed and figured I'd share the experiences because I felt there was a shortage of RV6 vids on youtube that truly depict how it sounds enough to help someone make a decision, especially in relation to other exhausts out there.

Holy heck Richie, get some staff to get these made for you. sounds like batch 2 is already lining up AND I'm still going to be pestering you for that dedicated base tip! You'll have double the orders if you make a true dual with a base tips that the base TL guys love. Maybe something similar to the ATLP base but taper the outer edge so it matches the bumper shape more? Anyway, if you need a guinea pig, I'm your guy, when you get to that point.

A vid from outside the car, but ON the car, figured most would appreciate it.
Especially, please take note of the absolute LACK of rasp.

Jeremy that exhaust sounds SICK as hell....i bet this video will help people decide....i wish the RV6 was a tad bit more aggressive sounding (i like it a little bit louder) but i see in the video its on the verge of introducing some rasp....and anymore loud/aggressive would have killed the "exotic" tone of the exhaust....I think Richie did great with this exhaust....

Thanks man...
Trust me, I'm 100% with you on that...it COULD be a little "louder" so to speak, but if it was, you'd have a little drone and rasp...it's about as aggressive as you can be without pushing over into being obnoxious...I think the RV6 is a perfect fit for most!

I'm really trying to put out a bunch of vids to give people more fuel to make educated decisions. I felt very limited to a small handful of vids of the RV6 to hear how it sounded.

rockstar before you had riches true dual did you have stock exhaust? or did you have atlp exhaust catback or something else?

i am in on the batch but i also wanna get rv6 v3 jpipe and hfpc but i dont know how it would sound without the catback exhaust tips. can’t seem to find videos of a Tl with jpipe and hfpc with base exhaust. i dont know if i should wait or just get them now and install them before the true duals are installed on my car.

If you check my youtube channel, you'll see that other vids I had prior. I used to have a stage 3 oem exhaust...(dynomax resonator and no 3rd muffler) along with HFPCs and the jpipe. I thought it sounded ok, until I got the catback, then I realize it didn't sound great and had rasp.

I do suggest you get them already though, that way you'll appreciate getting the true dual even more and you'll appreciate the go fast mods in stages rather than all in one shot.
