odd question:
I was told from a buddy that i will need a tune ASAP if i do the PCD. It frees up too much exhaust flow was his statement.
Is this correct, about the tune?

You should be fine if you are NA, the TL has 2 wideband O2 sensors to keep everything in check. I know of a few people that ran lean with a supercharger and high boost pulley after the PCD install.

Would anyone be interested in ceramic coated precats deletes for ~$50 more. I was picking up some strut tower bars from my powder coating guy. Apparently he is trying sell the business since he is barely breaking even. This guy has always been nice to me and offered us some great pricing on the strut tower bars. I am willing to offer his services at cost to help him out.
The ceramic coating he uses is good for up to 2000 degrees and does a great job at keeping underhood temps down.

sorry if I come off ignorant guys, but how much whp/wtq will I be gaining if I install the j-pipe and pcd's? FYI, I have the stock cat-back with a mid-muffler delete and am considering either a stage 3 with a dynomax resonator or just full custom 2.5" piping.

20.70 whp / 14.17 wtq so with J-pipe a little more

If you're looking for a resonator, I have for sale a Vibrant 2.5" resonator for sale in the BM. I believe it is the same one that ABP_04TL used...

Not to bring back this thread from the dead but I just picked up my 07 TL-S a week ago and was planning on doing the J-pipe and calling it a day. I want to keep the car nice and quiet for a daily driver by leaving the stock axle back in place. My question is this, all the rest of my exhaust being stock, what would the gains be with the addition on the PCD's in addition to the J-Pipe? At the very most I would add a CAI but I am looking at heat wrapping it to minimize 'honda-rrari' intake wail.
Lastly, being that it is a 30k mile car with an extended warranty package, would any of this screw up my warranty or would it just void the exhaust portion?
Thanks!

In this case, I highly recommend that you *don't* get the PCD. The PCD are beastly. They are hard, if not impossible, to tame, sound wise. I have the PCD and oem cat back. It's beastly, which I love. But, it sounds like (pun?) you will be disappointed in losing your quiet daily tranquility .

Technically it should void your warranty but dealers love to blame problems on mods. I would remove the mods if you are getting any major work done.
The place I used went out of business a few months back. I am looking at a new place or perhaps doing the coating in house.

I would look around for a dyno I would estimate the gains to be around 18-25WHP and 10-15WTQ for the V3 jpipe and PCDs.

PCD's will give you the most gains out of that combo, I believe with both those combined it still won't yield as much as the PCD's, but dont quote me on that...I know it's been posted somewhere on here the numbers

Hey guys, silly question maybe, I'm new to this all.
I bought the V3 j pipe and that went on no problem, now I'm tackling the pre cats and I'm running into the problem of the O2 sensor clip, that is supported by a bracket on the drivers side of the front of the engine. Is there any sort of special trick in getting that out because for the life of me, it won't come undone. I've got it unscrewed from the block and everything.
Any help would be appreciated!!

^ The wiring harness clip is a royal pia for sure. I cuss every time I have to disconnect that thing.
Remove the strut tower brace to give yourself more room to work around.
The following is not exact. It is just how I tell myself to do it. The clip is not like an ordinary clip. Usually, you push in the tab that is on the inner cup, and the inner cup will pull out from the outer cup.
This one is the opposite. Push in the tab but tug on the outer cup. It is the inner cup that is clipped to the metal brace.
This is just how I remember it. It might not be exactly like I described. But, hopefully this will help.
