just out of curiousity, does anyone know what type of horsepower gains is there from this modification alone....any official dyno numbers or tests...I'm sure its been posted somewhere, but im at work and don't want to go searching? Im assuming its gotta be some good numbers as the TL-S exhaust systems are heavily restricted to meet ULEV laws....

I'm willing to send a full payment after I get a few questions answered.
Can I get a package deal with the precat deletes and j-pipe?
How loud will it be with the deletes, j-pipe, and gutted 3rd cat with stock exhaust? I really want to keep it quiet.
I'm eventually going with the turbo kit so I know I'm going to eventually sell this stuff and lose some money on it.

Precat Deletes --> XLR8 Jpipe --> RV6 Race pipe --> oem resonator --> OEM catback (but with midmuffler deleted)
Loud/quiet is a bit subjective. With that said, I will take a stab at an answer based on my concept of loud/quiet.
PCD will totally change the car, sound wise. There will be little increase in sound IF you accelerate gently. Get into the throttle moderately, and there WILL be some beastly sounds and light rasp. If you get into the throttle a lot, then "Houston, we have lift-off"

Here are two links
Precat Deletes + Upgraded Jpipe + No 3rd Cat + Stock Exhaust = very sexy exhaust note (click here)
XLR8 J-pipe install.......Not liking the sound! (click here)
If you are short on time, here is an out-take from one of my post -
I installed the XLR8 Jpipe a few weeks before installing the PCD (precat deletes). The XLR8 Jpipe changed the sound of the car very little. No ting or raspiness at all.
The PCD did change the sound of the car a lot. But, I love the new sound. The PCD did cause a ting sound at idle (which I was expecting), and light rasp when getting into the throttle. But, I like both the ting sound and light rasp. The light rasp lets folks around me that something is afoot. But, I still have the sleeper aspect as long as I don’t get into the throttle.
BTW, the ting is the sound of the exhaust pulse wave hitting the walls of the PCD as the exhaust rushes out of the exhaust port. Real race headers and the PCD have thin-wall pipes. When I say thin walls, I mean in comparison to oem exhaust manifolds, which are extremely thick cast iron that greatly dampens the sound.

Thanks for taking the time to write it up. I guess it's like most exhausts when you remove the cats and really free things up. Fairly quiet when you're not on it but loud when you are on it.

Your car will get louder for sure, but not by much. The stock exhaust does a pretty good job at keeping the noise level down. I found a youtube videos for you. I don't think it is very loud at all.

What type of testing do they have in your area? Is there a visual inspection or just a OBDII plug in.

"""Richie Im really debating on these. I'd love to get em but Im really nervous about the whole emissions deal. I don't want to have to swap em out whenever I have to do a test."""
If they do the sniffer on your exhaust then your a no go but if its just a visual and hook up to your OBDII then you should be good from whats been told to me, I was worried about failing as well but since I was given the green light for no CEL, cuz of 02 simulators taking care of that issue...
And Richie finally made that big deposit for the combo deal, and now it's officially 8!!! C'mon 2 more and we on our way lets get it done!!!

The turbo eliminates the precats and j-pipe since it's powered by exhaust. Buying these and then going with a turbo would be a serious waste of money.
The bad smell is relative. I was around before many cars had convertors and y ou didn't notice it.

No worries I should have extra.
You shouldn't have rasp from any stock unmodified exhaust.

Richie, just to be sure, if I don't get in on this groupbuy, when will you have more pre-cats in stock?
I want them but I haven't even received my exhaust yet, I want to see how that sounds by itself before I move on to pre-cats and a high flow cat.
