RV6 j-pipe voids warranty?

Modifying your exhaust in any way will void your warranty if a problem occurs. That being said, I have had rv6 v3 precat deletes and rv6 v3 jpipe for a while now and have had 0 problems. When I bring the car in for my service checkups the mechanics dont even realize I have them installed.

I guess in the end its up to the dealer to call it...if they even notice it which i would think they would given that this is what they do allll day look underneath cars...

Andy,
Neither the HFC's or PCD's will give you a CEL....HFC's have a low cell count and PCD's come with defoulers....HFC's will pass the smog test and the PCD's wont....

OTOH, there is no law that says they can't be a PITA about it. And they often are.

Jpipes won't void your warranty. I have personally seen a TL get both heads replaced under warranty with a jpipe. However the trend I have noticed is that dealers will try anything to place blame on to aftermarket parts. Especially if you are young and they feel like they can get away with it. So to avoid the any hiccups I would swap back to stock if something catastrophic happens to your engine.

When I was under warranty with my free flowing exhaust and other aftermarket components, I never once had a dealer try to blame something on the aftermarket part. The last thing I had done under warranty was one of the enigne mounts, they just mentioned the parts but before they even talked to me about it, they had the part ordered and in place. I guess I have had good luck when it came to dealers. With me dealers get one chance, if they try and screw me over in any way, I wont go back to them. That was the first dealer i ever went to with a problem. They tried blaming my tint on the window motor not working properly, needless to say, I never went back.

Some dealers are better than others. Our's is 'mod freindly' too. Just got a transmission mount replaced. They never even mentioned the pulley or the CAI or anything else. One of the sales guys was even asking me about what I was lowered on.
Other dealships .... I've read horror stories. Rockyfeller's dealer bs comes to mind.

dont mean to hijack but what dealer do you go to. the coordinates that you have for your location put you in Charlotte and im there all the time so it might be worth a drive if they are mod friendly... all of the triangle dealerships arent mod friendly at all
