I am thinking about putting a remote start on my 04 TL. Anybody have input? Thanks!

 

i almost never post on this board, but i just happen to come by and check things out today.

I installed a compustar system about 1 year ago... I live in Montreal Canada, so autostart is pretty much a must during winter.

I've used other 2-way auto start systems.... viper etc.... nobody can match the compustar for range. The system also pages you on the lcd remote to let you know if your car has been bumped or touched or a window has been broken etc... sets up so you can also pop the trunk, start your car from a distance, turn off the car. Lets say you are in the car, and want to get out for a sec, you can just pull the key out of the ignition, while keeping the car running.

I have mine set up so that when i press the alternate button, the windows roll down, and the cd player turns on.

Just make sure you get the newer model compustar, the previous generation had a blue lcd remote, the newer ones have a white remote.

cost, adjusted for your US dollars should run you about 400 installed.
