Progress! Although I also would have expected your baseline to be a bit higher. But that's not a big deal.

update

I stopped by the shop today. I wanted to see the progress that had been made.

The injectors and fuel pump are in and working properly. The car is taken apart and the turbo is mounted up. They are waiting for the intercooler core and transmission cooler to show up. They should have my car back to me next week, hopefully early next week

Here's a couple pics of the turbo mounted up. I was told the brackets are temporary ones and the finished ones will be beefier and look better.

update

^ The project is moving forward, slower than I was hoping. I have been told the tune is scheduled for the 31st. They have been getting the water to air intercooler plumbed and attached this week. Here are some pics they sent me of the heat exchanger mounted up as well as the integrated coolant reservoir and pump.

I wouldn't begin to worry about the slow process. It takes time to make perfection especially on something they haven't done before.

more install pics

Just got these tonight! They got the exhaust plumbed to the turbo, and I'm told they almost have the piping to the intercooler finished.

intercooler, resonator, and it looks like the wastegate mounted near the turbo

Stainless steel exhaust. Aluminum charge piping.

Vibrant pre-turbo resonator. There will be another resonator after the turbo to keep the sound under control.

Looking good! Are they going to make one exhaust tip come from the wastegate and the other from the downpipe, or will they plumb the wastegate into the downpipe?

interesting, going to be a single exit exhaust?

where's the air intake filter go?

That's a pretty loooooooong straw to force air through, but pretty cool

I believe the plan right now is to plumb it into the downpipe. That means the passenger side is going to have false exhaust tips. They're going to keep the stock tips if at all possible.

Looks great. That place does some really nice work. Are those mufflers? I've never seen any that small but it looks good painted black. Are they doing just the tuning, or are they also hooking up the traction control as well?

Post some engine bay pics as well.

No mufflers unless you count the turbo itself. there is a resonator located there as well as right after the j-pipe.

Well I unfortunately did not get to take my TL home tonight. Due to some computer issues, they weren't able to start the dyno tuning until late in the afternoon so I'm going to end up having to wait to pick it up until Monday because they are closed for new years tomorrow and Friday.

I was told that the initial dyno numbers at low boost were very promising, but I don't have any dyno graphs to back up what they told me. I was also told that it sounded like a beast at WOT.

It's going to be a long 4 days...

Can't wait to see the end results. You're lucky with such a bad ass shop doing the work. The shops race cars are insane!
