Questions about Brakes

Questions:

1) Has anyone tried the following combination of rotors and pads: slotted brembos with EBC yellowstuff? (I have tried the yellowstuff pads in the past and were happy with them. They produce probably the same amout of dust as OEM but have lasted twice as long.)

2) Are Rotora and Stoptech made from Centric blanks? I was not happy with my Centric rotors and don't think I'll be happy with Rotora or Stoptech. I'd like racingbrake 2 piece but can't afford.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

I have not used either product, so I can't speak from personal experience. I have heard mix reactions from the EBC Yellowstuff before. Some have said they have some squeaking that they can't get rid of, and others have said they are the best pads they have ever had.

Yeah they did squeak for a long time. Then they stopped after probably 5000 miles or so, didn't bother me too much but it was annoying.

I have rotora slotted rotors and am very happy with them. They are still true and have great stopping power. I think I have around 10-12K on them. I dont' know if they are centric blanks though.

I've used EBC pads on my old car and had no complaints although I think they were the greenstuff, maybe reds don't really remember. They worked well had around 10K on them and got rid of the car but was happy with them.

ROTORA has its own foundries and they typically use their own premium blanks to make their performance discs. Now I'm sure from time to time they may use a Centric blank if necessary, but I've been selling ROTORA for years and they typically do not.

I'm changing out the brakes and the rotors. I'm not trying to break the bank. Any suggestions?
