I think it will.
but it is funny that it does only sound like from the engine bay.

 

I love them. Altough it does sound very hollow and smells a little but i got used to it already. Power is there and everywhere. So far the best bolt on i installed. I wonder if I could get rid of that thin can sound with an aftermarket exhaust, without introducing any drone to it, cause that I hate more then rasp. Im thinking tanabe but i dont know. I had the ATLP base but had to sell it since i could not drive with all that drone...

 

I could be wrong, and hopefully I am, but I think a resonator can only affect sound downstream of it. If the noise is actually coming from under hood that leaves us out of luck for noise removal.

 

should have went with the HFC's.



But :aheminamanlyvoice: I kinda like the smell of the fumes and HOPEFULLY a resonator will work.

BUT WAIT, did you see that thread with all RV6 products. no rasp.....im drunk right now, so I wont be able to find it.

RV6 needs to sell the exhaust pipes. I would buy it.
too bad he stopped production on it, cuz i would def. buy it. it would solve all our problems because that guy with all RV6 products had no rasp. please find that thread as i am inable to do it. is inable a word?

My buddy with the WRX STi wanted to hear my exhaust now that I'm catless. With the door open and my head sticking out the rasp sounded more like it was from the back of the car, not underhood. I'll have to see about getting a larger resonator installed and see if that cures me.

 

i have my pcd's but cars in body shop new bumpers lip and paint putting them on when i get it in a week or so but had a question i keep hearing about this mythacal resonator that takes the rasp away but where do you get it and how much does it cost? i looked on the RV6 website and found nothing... also does it replace our stock resonator or just go ininline somewhere also one more thing about it does it take away any hp by adding it? hopefully someone can answer these questions & thanks in advance...

I have no rasp with my Tsudo exhaust, comes with a resonator on it already. I did end up adding a high flow cat because it smells like crap. Just add the 3rd cat, will take maybe 2-5 hp which you will never feel and you will have no rasp and no smell.

did my precats today along with j-pipe, sucks im throwing a CEL so need to get that figured out and have some rasp hopefully itll go away if not im taking my magnaflow off and putting stock res back on....by the way i have hfpc's

so it seems like this is the one but one question should i just put it inline with everything else finding a good spot or replace the stock resonator not sure if ill end up using it yet though as i haven't even installed the pcd's but curious and will i loose any hp by adding it?...

 

What CEL are you getting inefficient cat or low o2 circuit?

and as for the magnaflow yea you replace the stock one you dont add it to the exhaust if your doing just the res and a mid-muffler delete it sounds amazing not extremley loud but sounds good hopefully the rasp goes away because with my new set-up its sexy untill you hear the rasp i hate that

 

I have one saying Bank 2 Sensor 2 slow response. It switchs banks every time i clear it. Real annoying!

 

well i have pcd's with rv6-v3 j-pipe and i have the 14'' magnaflow but its still raspy im going to add my stock back in with the magnaflow so ill have both inline with eachother and that should take care of the noise

 

the CEL went away yesterday morning i dont know what it was

was driving around for about 30mn then cel turned on but was driving kinda wild think if i reset it it will come back?... & do you think it was from crazy driving because if it was a messed up 02 sensor it sould of happened when i first started my car? can anyone help ... thanks for everyones help

 

un did the negative on the battery for 30mn cel turned off didnt come back on problem solved for now...
