Anyone know the fuse number to release fuel pressure? How similar are our cars to this Accord?

You won't gain any more from going to 80mm. Where you're at now is way more than enough for 3.2 or 3.5L.

(BTW, if anyone is interested in my stock runners, I'll be putting them up for sale shortly on the BM.)

Looking into getting all the pnp work done. I will be checking with a local mechanic that works on race cars/ youth drag cars to see if he does custom work for customers.

Those that have done it themselves, are you just smoothing the casting marks? or actually measuring the porting part of the process also? IIRC the P2R runners are ported 12mm larger?

Probably sending my TB to maxbore, and getting mani/runners done myself. Dont drive my car daily as I have my 99TL for that

May have to buy spare parts to have the work done then swap out all at once. Thanks to those that have already answered ?'s about this.

12mm is hugeeee....i doubt P2R opens up 12 mm....might be 12 mm overall so like 2mm per port...which sounds more like it....

my intake manifold is opened to ~70.xx mm.....and each bore is opened to ~47.xx mm which is 3mm larger than stock....

Maxbore does some quality work....George is a great guy....got my TB bored from him....tell him swoosh(Anil) send ya and he will hook you up

if you dont drive your car, your best bet will be to take the TB out and mail it to maxbore....his turnaround time is around 2-3 weeks (including shipping) and in the mean time get your manifold and runners pnp-ed at your local shop.....when you get everything back put it on and get your ass sucked into the seat

I know he had headworkand a 3.6L, but Civicdrivr gained 14whp/19wtq just from going to the 80mm TB/manifold setup over stock. I'd imagine we would gain some power. Over on VP6 (....) someone gained over 8whp going from a short ram intake to a 4" short ram. Bigger has shown to be better on this motor so far, so I'd imagine there would be some gains up top from the 80mm TB/manifold setup. Even the 2.0L K series motors gain going from stock to 74mm/80mm TB setups.

READ IT BISSSHHHEEZZZZZ LOL

ok guys....i just spoke with GEORGE at maxbore and he was encountering some issues with the DBW TB's....namely aftermarket ECU hahaha

some guys with aftermarket ECU's/hondata reflashes got their TB bored from him and didnt tune the car after the TB....hence they were encountering issues....thats why GEORGE stopped doing the DBW TB's...

I just exchanged couple emails with him and told him how AWESOME my ECU was running and i dont forsee this problem with the TL as not many people have the JnR ECU....

he said he would consider on a case by case basis....he is going to hike the price up from $105 to $150 for DBW ECU's....I told him to give the TL folks a break....he will willing to chop down 20-30 bucks for us (total will be $120-130).....

shoot him an email: info@maxbore dot com and in the email body write "Anil/Swoosh told me to contact you" and he will do your TB as well as give you the price break....

let me know how it goes....

When did the JR ECU ever become the problem??
that group of people he was talking about was def not in the 3G community.

Thanks Anil. I just fixed my axle and driving her around for a bit just to put it back away to send out my TB...

^^^ No it wasnt the 3G TL....I think it was the Accords who have Hondata/other aftermarket ECU options.....

I just told him we got JnR ECU for the TL's but not many people have it....so consider doing the 3G TL TB's on a case by case basis....he agreed

Hold up on that, he wants to charge $150. I sent him another letter to beg for a discount since it used to cost less before a few folks had issues with their specific setups.

At least he's willing to do the work

Yeah man of course I mentioned your name for the discount but didn't mention that I didn't have an aftermarket ECU. I sent him another email just in case he overlooked it.

Do you guys know what the base and Type-S stock TB opening is?

I appreciate the offer bud; once I get back from vacation and if I need a car I'm gonna be driving the old trusty Accord. Dam, I still love that car and the shape, just threw some Redline D4 into that puppy while helping pops with the oil change.

Dyno'd last night. Very good numbers for my type s with PnP, stock shawd tb, intake, full exhaust, crank pulley. 298/263 on stock ecu. This is a Powerflow dyno which is very respected for its accuracy. Check out the torque curve! Enjoy
