If I had the LsD for my car I'd be able to put the power down much better but wth the 6speed I would think I could hold 85% true to those dyno numbers , maybe I will do the throttle body .. But i don't want to go too ridiculous with HP I still want to achieve good gas mileage which had me thinking instead of throttle body maybe RDX injectors .. All the installs are free so I'm thinking one or the other and with income tax here I'm happy with ether

I'll check this thread later I'm working

I need this cleared up cause I'm not sure u guys know your engines heads better than me

My buddy who's installing everything said that the J32manifold I'm getting installed might not fit only because the connections and hoses will not match with the new manifold
I really don't know so I googled my 3.5 honda engine and maybe u can tell me

.. I hate those Debbie downers who like bring down your excitement

Sorry jut don't wanna drop 300 and see no gains..
going in with just a dremel, doing it your self will probably make you lose power. Only good reputable shops with flow bench can make gains. just shaving down spots in intake ports and smoothing out pnp. take it to a good machine shop nothing else.

Just to let you guys know. I pulled the runners since had to do some work down there with the knock sensor. They are spotless. The intake manifold and tb looks like crap again.. Smooth is good. rough traps erg vapor and oil.

I did see 1-2 mpg improvement. I get used to get 32mpg highway. It now is bumped up to almost 34mpg highway. on local it more or less the same.

I am replacing a knock sensor and subharness now since it melted.......

Also I will be doing a valve adjustment so that I can see further increase in power.

Both EGR and PCV. The EGR supplies the grit and the PCV supplies the oil. Nasty combination. This is one of the main reasons that I deleted both the EGR and PCV on my car.

For mine I just added a air/oil seperator(catch can) to the pcv. For the EGR I had nva-av6 make me a egr spacer. Other option is deleting like innac.

gotta ask cause i bought the manifold PnP

on my accord 3.5 .. will the 3.2 be a issue? since im going from a magnesium manifold to aluminum?

biggest issue with my car is heat and knocking. Those 2 cause the car to pull massive timing so idk wtf to do lol

I cannot think of how it will affect it negatively....yes i can think of it affecting positively...

I was gonna reply via email but will type my response here so Inaccurate (Tim) will be able to correct me where I go wrong....

Yes BIG 3 issues are:
1> HEAT
2> KNOCKING
3> WEIGHT

1> You cannot beat the heat but you can cool off and trick the ECU into thinking "its 100 out there but am still getting cool air"....how you ask:
a> UCM - Ultimate Cooling Mod
b> IAT relocation
c> TB coolant bypass

2> Knocking....I do not know much about this subject but I know the ECU retard timing....I know Tim has done quite some research and replaced/relocated his stock knock sensor....

3> Tim and Villie (i dont know his name) have done so many weight loosing mods to their cars that they can outrun a completely bolted-on SC-ed TL....

About your original question about the manifold....I have never seen a 3.2 manifold on a 3.5....it will work, yes but i do not know if it will adversely affect your performance....

yes if you port and polish your 3.5 manifold you will see good gains....

Im waiting on andy to respond to me but im going to see if i can get a bored throttle body and than get the PnP intake runners

As much as I'd love to have the runners I'm nervous to do them , after talking to thisazinboi I might look into rl 3.7 manifold but I'd rather do runner and tb for now

The tb I found universal 70mm but maybe Andy can help me out because doing runners would be zero problem , and the throttle body I don't see causing any issues if it's bored to 70mm

But I gotta talk to Andy first lol

Swoosh u had swapped your oem 3.2 for a pnp 3.2 correct?

^^^ yup....Just to tell you Andy does great a great freaking job....

I got my manifold and runners ported and polished from Andy....i would honestly tell you to not get super duper confused....talk to a guy who knows his shit and follow his advice....

i talk to Andy for my port and polish needs....he knows his stuff....
about mods which I think of but dont know how they will turn out, I talk to Tim LOL...

bottomline is take advise and live by it....dont go running around thinking if the adviser is right or wrong

I'm not confused I just don't want long term issues using a different material intake manifold , I'd rather just do my runners and throttle body Cause I know it's safer , my father bought me the car as a birthday gift literally handed me the keys but he said u mod it I take it away , I still mod it but if I fuck the engine up o boy lol

Looking forward to the next couple weeks though just need Andy to get back to me before it's too late lol

^^^ with the manifold you will not mess up the engine....

yes once you dig into cams and valves and springs and retainers, dive into the heads, then your changes increase....

the reason i love the port and polish mods is because no one can notice that there are any mods done to the car

but all i can tell you is you wont mess anything up but using a different material manifold....about gains/losses if the 3.5 pnp will be better than 3.2 pnp i would ask around....

his OEM manifold is magnesium. I told him not to switch since the 3.2 is aluminium. Magnesium is lighter and far less prone to heat soak then the aluminium one. Even with p2r gasket, outlaw engineering gasket, and coolant by past the aluminium one gets unbearably hot. The magnesium also gets hot but at least you won't be cooking eggs on it.

What's the consensus on the IM/MDX spacer. Does anyone have a picture of our runners and how to take them off?

Here's a very detailed write up on swapping the runners on an Accord. I used this guide. Gets a hair tricky here and there, but pretty straightforward.

I know Andy spoke to P2R and they said if you have everything pnp-ed than the MDX spacer adversely affects the top end....so you do gain a little bottom end for loss of top end....

i do have everything pnp-ed including the MDX spacer and it feels great....i just havent dyno-ed with and without for a solid conclusion....i gotta do that thow....

disguise the link

but yeah its pretty straight forward....you see a bolt you pop it off LOL...

only tricky part is putting the injectors back in....i applied a little engine oil on the edge of the injector so it slides in easy (Andy told me that trick and it has worked like a charm)....

I found that site earlier but not the exact page with the DIY. It's a very good DIY.

Anyone know the fuse number to release fuel pressure? How similar are our cars to this Accord?

Copy and paste this link into your browser. Remove the red X before submitting. Acurazine blocks any links to that forum. So, this is why it must be disguised with the red X.

The IM/runners/etc are identical. The only differences as far as I know are internal.

Gotta quick question here....kinda off topic....

anyone know the dimension of the 4G TL TB/Manifold/Runners and if it will fit the 3G TL ?

am really considering that....

The 3.7L mani will fit the 3G TL. I believe the TB is 76mm opening and 70 where it meets the mani. It can be bored to 80/72 I believe, but that's it. The manifold fits with the 3G stock TB with the P2R adapter and a couple gaskets.
