piggy back system??

hey, this is for all the SC guys..

just wondering if there is a piggy back out yet, or what are people using to tune their SC?
i wanna be able to tune mine and eventually run more boost.. but of course, i can't do this without some kind of ecu piggy back..

if anyone has any ideas or if anyone has something they are using..please let me know

thanks

Search...there is a good thread on this topic. Basically its the E-manage blue unit or the ultimate teamed with a boomslang harness. There are others...Apexi Neo and such...but I personally would stay to the e-manage units.

So far as increasing your boost....a high boost pulley is about the only way to accomplish that and I would recommend having tuning ability when running that....although I am currently running the HBP with no issues....its rare....and mainly due to my setup combination.

What parts combo is allowing you to run the HBP?

No...it doesnt get to 8# of boost. I think it may pop to 7# occasionally but for the most part stays around 5-6# - about what the supercharger runs stock.

My thinking is that the intake and exhaust components that I have is offsetting the boost a bit which is why a HBP does not run at the full boost when installed...because it was rated at 8-9#.

I am running a custom CAI intake & Full Richie exhaust (J-pipe, third cat delete that looks like a hollow resonator looking thing instead of a straight pipe and precat deletes) connected to Greddy EVO2 system.

Outside of hooking up the Emanage Blue system to fine tune the car...I should be good to go.

Were you running the HBP with your pro cats? I am running a simular set up, but with pro cats and no boost gauge.

Yep. I ran it with the procats too. Prior to me turning them to briquettes anyway.

but gonna change my setup in spring..no point now..lol

i've got an autometer boost guage with vaccum pressure aswell..

but it usually tops out at 5psi...stock settings...i want to run at least 6-8lbs..
how much more power does a HBP give you?
did you have to change the belt aswell or us the belt that comes with the kit..

in a discreet location..lol
driver-side, just above the heat vent on the dash..so kinda hidden by the a-pillar

im also lookin to get a HPB and somekind of ecu or whatever to tune more!
i eventually wanna build the motor a bit to handle more boost..my goal is around 350 whp...so i wanna run about 8-10psi..
and i will do it!.bwahaha

Here is a VERY old vid of some intake testing we were doing at the time in the winter....prior to most of my exhaust upgrades. I think this was just S/C and CAI a matter of fact....but you can see you are still able to see and use the gauges behind the AFR and boost gauges given their position.
