P2R Intake Manifold Gasket

Anyone have issues with the P2R intake manifold gasket? I have it on my 04 base, and was considering it for my 08 TLS. I asked over at Hondata forums if they planned on making one for the TL and this was the response I got;

The V6 engine has a heavy intake manifold and a fairly thin margin between the intake plenum and fuel injector bases, so the gasket must be steel or something which can carry a lot of pressure. You can't increase the thickness between the fuel injector bases and the cylinder heads, otherwise the plenum doesn't fit correctly. So no plans for a V6 gasket.
I have the Oem gasket under the P2R on the 04, so Im not that worried about it yet. Just wanted to see if anyone had uninstalled theirs and noticed any problems...

I think I've seen them on a few type-s cars on here. I know outlaw Racing or someone used to send extended bolts with the gasket.

Yeah the white one. Do you daily your car? Im worried mainly because when it was my car, it was just a weekend car. Now its my girl's car, so it sees a lot more use, and heat. Any idea how long you had it installed? What made you check it in the first place?

I also had a vacuum leak because of it. It melted also. As soon as i repaced it with the stock one, the exhaust tone changed. Im thinking to go with the outlaw one or not even bother at all.

Thanks for input guys.

Hoping others chime in still, but I plan on pulling the gasket when I get a chance. Just for my piece of mind. Probably going to just go back to OEM gasket.

Also after you guys mentioned the Outlaw spacer, I found this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/p2r-vs-outlaw-engineering-tb-spacer-im-gasket-861789/

My outlaw is holding up fine but i dont think its really a worthwhile mod. Just prolongs the inevitible heat soak. UCM would be better

There are knock-off ones that will melt. Buy it from an authorized distributor instead of ebay. Mine did not melt and I auto-x my car.

I've got the outlaw. Works fine, no melting. I'd agree with pohjlm though. I never noticed any sort of difference with the spacer. Certainly no change in imperical data. I measured IAT's before and after. No change.

Measure IAT during WOT? There is no change during dd. I can confirm that there no change if you drive it regularly.

Did anyone notice a loud screeming noise? Like a whine or high pitch whistle?
When theirs melted.

I had a rough idle the other week and now my car is making a loud whistling noise.

I had the P2R in for almost 2 months.
