Outlaw Thermoblock Spacers And C/T Supercharger

Well for all that said the outlaw thermoblock spacers dont fit with the s/c their wrong. I just installed gmans s/c last night and he has the spacers on and it fit fine with the intake spacer on. You can not use the throttle body spacer as it is too thin and wont position the elbow out far enough. Im sure gman will chime in soon and hopefully he can post up some pics for you guys to see. Gman, hope it was all for the ride home.

Oh shit, that might cut some of the heat out of the intake manifold. Ryan you know me, I might have to try it. Any thing to get some of the heat out of the intake manifold. The block just heats the shit out of the I/M.
I had them on before, and I had problems with the t/b bolts not staying tight.

You'll be there tomorrow to witness the first 3rd Gen TL running 12's. Got a secret up my sleeve.
The goal for tomorrow is 3rd Gen TL going 12's. And the camaro running 9's.

Nice to see that it worked. Hey Ryan, do you have any datalogging programs? Maybe you could read the data off the IAT sensor from a supercharged TL w/ and w/out the spacer to see what the difference actually is.

A/T TL in the 12's

Yes i do, my scanner is a graphing scanner that can record up to 1/2hr of data. I may do it if outlaw will sell me just the intake spacer but if not then oh well. Im sure the iat will still be high since the blower is heating the intake charge but i would like it more for when i go to the track and ice down the s/c and intake the upper intake wont get heat soaked from the motor. Yeah paul will be in the 12's and hopefully i will be in the 9's tommorrow night. Man i already wish fall was here LOL

Well, I was going to do a new post but saw Ryan's here:

To share my story with everyone, I got my blower and started to shop around for a installer (who I felt good doing work to my TL) in the Cleveland Ohio area. After getting ridiculous prices and lack of experience as nobody has put in a S/C in a TL in Ohio or anywhere close, I contacted Ryan.

Let me tell you, this guy knows his s*&t!! I could not feel any better than I do today.
I drove 528 YES 528 miles in 7 hours to see Ryan last night.
Ryan had the blower in and the boost cooler and helped me out with a few other tidbits..

I blew out of the shop and hauled ass home. Thanks Ryan for a great experience. I am now addicted to BOOST!!!

I will post some pics when I get a chance to snap them....

You need to get your name out there, for more buisness. Turn that Joe's to Ryans auto service.
Ryan you know what the mystery mod is, not everyone can do it, Right!
Oh no its not a 75 shot either.

Finally, someone from out of state made the effort to come down to NJ and get his S/C installed. For those who said 500+ miles is far.... the question is....

PERFECT INSTALLATION VS HOURS TRAVELLED.

Now I would travel 1000 miles to get something installed and never have a problem than getting it installed 2 miles from here and constantly having problems.

Ryan is a great installer, and most importantly he doesn't BS you with shit. You want an install, he does it, he's cool and no bullshit.

Having that said..............
who here besides gman got this themospacer?

Paul,

Does the IM spacer make a noticable difference or no. I noticed a throttle response when NA but how is it with the charger!

I dont know if it my head playing games, but after install it felt a little snappier.
Ask Ryan, he was doing his when I was at his shop this morning.

RYAN chime in here with your findings, did you notice a difference? Maybe a little bit of TQ. who knows?
The manifold still gets burning hot.

HAHA i only got to put .5 miles from my shop to the house this morning after the install so i dont have an answer yet. Anybody wanting to do this for their s/c hold on a few days. Ive been talking to sean at outlaw and he is going to try to make a thermblock spacer to replace the aluminum spacer at the intake manifold elbow. i dont know if he will be selling a s/c kit or the spacer seperately. i will let you know as soon as he contacts me. He usually emails me the morning after i email him.

I would say it is worth it, especially how my car ran last night, with a little 70* weather. I wish the track was open last night. Well I will wait to tuesday.

Yea I have been watching your thread! Thats great proof with all the mods you have already. How much should an install cost for the spacer?

For those that have the intake manifold spacer with the Greddy Strut bar, does it fit? The Greddy strut bar seems to be sitting right on top of the engine already. With the extra 1/4" added by the intake manifold spacer, would it be hitting the Greddy strut bar?

lol.... Ryan, where's my commission for advertising for you all over the forum and in real life. You got guys from TN coming to you

Wayne0221, he is the best. Installed it in 4 hours and absolutely no problems. He's the best I've seen in terms of Honda/Acura installation.
