okay my decision

so after a few days of research, i think these are the exhaust mods i want to do.

aem cai
rv pre-cat delete / jpipe / 3rd cat delete combo
remove mid muffler and weld on straight pipe
xlr8's underdrive pulley / belt

and then a few suspension mods and that'll be it (doubt it though, honestly. LOL)

what kind of gains can i expect? also, i've read numerous times that this will throw a cel, but i've also read it won't. to my understanding, rv's pre-cat combo comes with defoulers.

edit: i've read that the gates belt is the belt people use for this pulley. can anyone else recommend another good belt, or is the gates belt fine?

AEM CAI, remember to do the coolant bypass for more power, if you live in freezing areas, do not do this
RV-6 Pre Cat delete, J-pipe and 3rd Cat - be careful since the radiator can be easily damaged during install. Also expect the smell of syrup since all 3 cats will be gone. If you don't want this, get a high flow 3rd cat.
Remove Mid-muffler and weld straight pipe - save up your money and get a full exhaust done, if you just do the mid-muffler, the mufflers and Y split are just blocking the flow later on, you will get gains, but not as much.
Xlr8 underdrive pulley - If you plan on a sound system later on, get the normal sized one. If not be sure to get the right size belt, and be careful when installing. Its easy to mess up the belt tensioner.

cai - i live in freezing areas.

third cat - any recommendations? i've read that the dynomax and magnaflo are good. i'm looking for a deep rumble non raspy sound.

exhaust suggestion - i don't want loud at all. that's why i'm opting for very minimal exhaust mods.

pulley - no sound system here. will john @ xlr8 have the belt i need for the ud pulley in stock?

edit: and btw, how did u get so many lines for your signature? i can't seem to get more than two =[

hey man just put my pre cats on j pipe and 3rd cat resonater. i did receie a little power gain but i dont think it was 20 hp like the web site said, and that was for a v6 accord. i also have a v2 aem cai on my car. my check engine light did come on i cleared the code at work and i reset everything and pulled the fuses. so make sure you pull the ecu fuse and the back up fuse after you put them on. justin (hendrick honda)

the dynomax and magnaflo products (test pipes) are not catalytic converters, they are just resonated sections of pipe to adjust the tone of where the mid-muffler/3rd cat used to be. A high-flow cat, like the one Richie V6 sells, actually scrubs the exhaust like a stocker but is less restrictive. High-flow cat's also cost about $300 ish, vice $50-70 for the test pipes.

btw, Richie has a killer deal right now on his pre-cat/j-pipe/3rd muffler delete package - $574.99! http://r-.ecrater.com/

yeah. i was looking into that. i think i'm going to be buying that pretty soon. if i get that combo, i don't need a high flo cat right?

xlr8, you have been pm'd.

with the new forum upgrade sigs are limited to 5 lines. If you have your sig already input before the upgrade, it'll work until you press the edit button.

The high-flo cat is only there if you need to pass emissions, or believe in "greener" horsepower. Pretty sure it doesn't flow as smooth as a straight or test pipe. That's why we're getting rid of the primary cats with the pre-cat deletes...for off-road use, of course.
