Great question, I would like maybe Borla or Magnaflow. But I would like the 4 outlets somehow welded on. So it looks stock. I did the stage 3 mod and love it. I just wish it was 5dB louder or so. Would like a cost estimate also.
Hopefully somebody can answer your question.
Sorry I didn't.

Apexi WS mufflers

or you can just get e-shift procats and get rid of all the cats, then your stock exhaust will sound nicer and louder just a bit. i'd go this route.

I was actually thinking about the very thing... to cut out both the mufflers and welding the tips on to a magnaflow
Example
I guess if you saw it in person you maybe able to fabricate the stock tips and make them stock... the funny thing is the inside tip is out more than the inner one... so I guess you'd have to cut the tips off from the muffler and weld them on to the above example, but then the distance in between the tips may have to be adjusted so that they don't touch the bumper and then the distance from how far the muffler is underneath will also have to be changed to the tips don't protrude...
I am going to my local muffler shop later this week to fully discuss this possibility...
I am thinking of running 2.5" magnaflow stainless steel pipe from the 3rd cat and back of course not messing with the cats... I guess I will create my custom exhaust... for the type s... running 1 pipe 2.5" to the back and using (The Y shaped)
create a better flowing bend...
I will post up some details about what my muffler experts dare to do and what the cost would be...
let me know what you guys think (PM ME IF INTERESTED)
I am almost certain the entire setup will not be more than one of those namebrand greddy, skunk2, magnaflow type jobs...
Price
The mufflers retail for $150 a pop and cutting the tips off and attaching to them would be like $25 a tip ($100) plus the stainless steel pipping with a dynomax resonator thrown inthere for another $50
