New exhaust tips

Yesterday the driver side exhaust tip fell off my car. I had welded the tip to the aftermarket magnaflow mufflers I installed...I think it was because the valet driver went off a curb (since the bottom of the car, the black thing under the spare tire, is scratched as well on the drivers side). Anyway the old tip was all fucked up so I just put on some new magnaflow SS tips. I think they look ok...not as good as the stock ones but good enough that I might just keep them instead of putting on the stock mufflers.
It took me nearly an hour to weld on both tips because of the angle of the mufflers. I had to extend both the driver side and passenger side stock pipes after the Y split about three inches in order to rotate the muffler enough to allow for a straight exit. I also had to make a little slip for the end of the muffler and grind down the side of the tips.

I don't think they look that bad...the ovals look better in the square holes than pure circles like the CT and others have.

I like 'em! They still don't look like they're angled right, but it's probably just the pictures.

I think oval tips look sporty - I like how they look on your car. You should keep them.

i took a closer look at them today...i dont mind them too much. they are a bit off though...not much you can do about that because welding them on was a pain. anyway, i think im actually gonna keep them on...didnt look as bad as i thought they would. i tried to pick tips that would fill out the bumper cut outs as much as possible. thanks for the positive replies.

The stock tips do this well. Why not modify them to work?

I think they look pretty good, but it also looks like they are rubbing against the body or there's no room for play (going over bumps and the exhaust shakes).

because i lost the driver side one and did not want to cut up the other stock system that i have. if the tip did not fall off i would have not changed a thing, but since i was forced to i wanted to find the best looking magnaflow tip to fill in that space.

not rubbing...i made sure of that. i will post another pic up close when i put it back up in the air...took a lot of time to get it so the tips would not rub against the side of the bumper cover.
