I've got a Fujita F5. Fits fine.
Less expensive than AEM or Injen.
As far as performance, they're all about the same with minimal gains. From what I've read the AEM V2 is loudest.
FWIW - I wouldn't touch short "ram" intake for this car. Even though a CAI does not add much power-wise, the TL is a known dog in hot weather. Letting a short ram suck hot engine compartment air just doesn't make any sense.
And neither does this from the Weapon R site:
Your NA engine will only use a fixed amount of air. Period. Think vacuum pump. It'll either consume ~3.2L or ~3.5L of air per full cycle depending what engine you've got. The air volume is fixed by the cylinder volume.
NO simple intake is going to change that. If you think it will, you should just get one of these: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/%2436-mod-%3D-up-10hp-7tq-833587/

.... This technology increases air volume and speed to the engine, which naturally feeds the engine 3 x more air than the conventional air intake system. ....

I really like the finish on it but I'm not sure if it fits the type s...
I'm gonna pass on being a grammar nazi on this one....But really unless you're rolling through water you have no business going through anyway, you don't need to worry about hydrolocking.
to be honest, performance is all the same (which is none). its all about what you prefer. short ram intakes however do suck in the engine bay's air which is hotter. so you might lose power (a bit).
if you are worried about hydrolocking then leave it stock. but you shouldnt be driving in water that deep anyways (which is upto the car door approx.)

Weapon R is very poor quality.
The AEM V2 intake is our most popular intake for the 3rd gen TL.
