i over revved my motor and need a valve job. so while getting it fixed is there any mods i can do to my engine while its getting worked on to save money on installation later? i'm planning on a underdrive pulley and motor mounts so far. maybe new clutch? high flow cats? im getting the 105 k service done also. i figure might as well get it done now so i dont need to do it later. i drive a 05 6mt with 90k miles. i feel bad because i messed up my ride and want to spend a little to make it up to her. not that getting her fixed wasnt an expensive lesson already. but i pretty much want to get everything done while she's under the knife. ideas?

there's nothing really you can do unless you build the engine...

high flow cats doesnt need to be installed when the engine is out....

so, its up to you and how much you want to spend.

 

If I was her, she wants to be sexy, dress her in some A-spec kit, new shiny shoes and rubber. She like shades so put some tints on her and don't forget to add that butt bigger by getting a spoiler.

 

Have the heads already been removed off of the motor?

And how did you overrev the engine? Didn't the rev limiter kick in? Or did you downshift to the wrong gear?

 

If you're removing the heads it would be easy to upgrade the mounts. The pulley would be easier to install as well.
