mufflers

I've read where some have deleted the mid muffler - has anyone left the stock exhaust alone to the point of only changing the mufflers?

with the higher flow cats on the type S (2007) and the awesome looking as it is quad outlets, the only thing i would change up would be the mufflers as well in order to get a little more free flow as well as a little more sound.. the type s should sound a little meaner in my opinion..can barely hear it now. please let me know if you find any replacement options.

I am going to keep the quad pipes for sure. I will take some measurements and go from there. You can do the same, then go to Summit Racing web site and check on all brands of mufflers as well. Anything we do will require welding so lets see what we can come up with.

I had Magnaflows dual outlet mufflers out on mine and they transplanted the quad tips onto the mufflers.

no for the whole exhaust...

You can get tips from Porsche from their 9 series cars that look a lot like the type-s and they will fit since they are not quite as wide

like $170
