Mixed matched engine mounts
Mixed matched engine mounts
Well the time hasn’t come and I have to replace my transmission mount. I’m going to do all 4, but I was thinking. Is there any benefit of doing let’s say the passenger side and transmission mount as the innovative mounts and the front and back oem? I was thinking that if you go with the poly mounts on the side and the oem front and back you still help with the twisting motion of the motor with still having less vibrations with the oem front and back mounts, since the oem mounts tighten up anyway when you step on the gas. This was just a thought .. I would most likely do the innovative 60a but I’m just a bit worried about too much vibration since I daily my TL
Yes there is 6for the 6speed and 5 for the a/t but as far as the images I’ve been seeing of the innovative mounts I only count 4. 3 motor and what looks like 1 top trans mount
I just did the 75A Innovative front engine mount, which is what was recommended for my car per their chart. Was going to order the XLR8 kit but they only had the 6th gen Accord set in stock. The front mount was busted up pretty good (came out in 3 pieces) so I couldn't wait. Came with the front, side and rear mounts. Since the side mount checked out okay, just did the front one. Very noticeable difference to the broken one, so hard to compare to a non-broken OEM mount, but the car feels more responsive now that the engine isn't raising up on acceleration, feels more planted. There is some vibration through the steering wheel with the a/c on but not as much as with the bad mount. Overall very happy, my car feels much tighter now with only a minimal increase in vibration.
