Megan Racing Straight Pipe

You guys think the 7th Gen Accord Megan Racing High Flow CAT (Straight pipe, not really a CAT) will bolt on and replace our 3rd cat?

I was reading on the 7th gen Accord forums and they were taking out their 3rd cat and using these instead.. no one has posted 1/4 times or dynos, but I wonder... do you think it's worth it and will it bolt right up to ours?
One of them responded with "seems to be a little throatier and butt dyno seems to have improved."

some guy on v6p.net bought it for 59.90 shipped.. so it's not really expensive.

I dont think that will result in a good sound. It possibly will be louder, but not necessarily in a good way. Really think about this...maybe talk to the exhaust shop to see if you can be there when they install to see if its worth doing it or not. Doesnt seem worth it to me though, regardless of the cost.

btw, when the re market picks back up, Ill buy the pro-cats. Till' then, this might be my 'broke-assed half-ass' solution, if not then its only a $50.00 mistake- I think Ill try it if it will fit. anyone know if the 3rd cat is the same on 7th gen accord v6/ 3rd gen tl

I have taken out the stock resonators, and replaced one of them w/ a striaght pipe, and one w/ Magnaflow. SOUNDS AMAZING!!! (cost me 140 w/ install) I can compare the sound to a g35, fx, and 350z. Just read the link for all part info and pics. I even think there are sound clips not sure.

Shawn.

Yeah, I would do this if the stock cat didn't cost so much, or I knew that I'd pass smog with a gutted cat! I was thinking of a bolt-on straight through pipe for a 7th gen accord for now, then put back on my stock cat for smog time. Anyone know if it will fit? I don't know where to do those part number searches-

Thanx..i remember that thread. The sound clips don't work anymore though. Nice pics. I guess its just a trial and error thing. You try it and hope you like it or you're just gonna have to pay to have it redone or removed
