You can't go wrong with Comptech if that's the way you want to go

As Techneecs posted, plenty of great resources on hear especially in regards to the CT-E which is really the way to go. We offer the kit for $4,395.60 not including shipping.

Am I missing something? "BEST" kit? Isn't the Comptech the ONLY kit? By default it wins, right?

You can use a Rotex supercharger with custom brackets.

Yeah, but that isn't a "kit". If we're going custom, a turbo will always be the better option for the money.

If the import world wasn't stuck on brand names so bad, I think I could market a turbo kit for the same price as the CT supercharger. I have little interest due to the haters that would inevitably abound because it doesn't have words like Garrett, or Tial, or Spearco attached to it, even though it isn't needed.

Actually it is a complete Kit and its the same price as the CTE, and can put down ALOT more power. I'm not a vendor here, so I wont speak more as to respect this website's rules.

I see, it's kinda of like sloppy mechanics, you can get plenty of power from generic/no name pieces or buying used "name brand items" if your resourceful. I am waiting for a build thread...

Turbo is always a better option for the money? Maybe for you, but you does not equal everyone else. For a simple to install kit complete package that keeps the A/C- CTE charger, very turn key. For something that has more power capability but lacks keeping the A/C , check out the Rotrex option. Want Turbo? Talk to some of the members that have turbo TL's

Good points 6spd-GERCO. I'll add that you should also think about increased risks of engine damage due to more potential points of failure. While all forced induction setups introduce more general risk for issues stemming from a half baked engine tune or freak parts failure, there are other areas that you should think twice before adding parts to the car. For instance, the added complexity of water/meth injection that is used to combat high intake air temperatures caused by no intercooler (CTE) or a by a heat source in the engine bay (turbo) can spell disaster. Stuck valves/silenoids, bad pumps, improper mix, low level of fluid and the maintenance of keeping it all filled and maintained are some examples. Also, very agressive low end torque (common for turbo setups) will kill a 6speed manual transmission faster than you might expect due to input/output shaft deflection, thus breaking gear teeth. To combat this, youre better to make peak torque higher in the rpm band. In my experience, making sacrifices to your comfort in the cabin on a hot summer day in stand still straffic with no A/C can leave you with a much more reliable vehicle. I hope that if youre planning on boosting a car that youre seldom stuck in traffic, though, and can enjoy driving it. Just my 2 cents.
