^truer words have never been spoken.
OP, save your money for another performance upgrade. j-pipe would be a good start.
your car already has a stock cold air intake, the $300 you'd be spending on the magical AEMV2 would be for noise, and noise only.
additionally, you can always take off your intake resonator box for a little bit of a different sound.
oh yeah, welcome to the forums.

However on your own post about a self loathing post about your plans for your car you post the following below, and look what we have here you plan on putting an intake on your car, an AEM v2 non the less that you just commented on poorly about. Granted its your money to spend as you please, however for the short amount of time I have been on here, its people with your negative attitude knocking things with your idiotic opinions that turns people off about you, and the online world of car forums.
The fact is you have no evidence, hard facts, or anything to support your claims, yet very ironically you plan on doing the very same you just love to jump at and bash.
You make me sick and your opinions are that of an idiot. :squintfaw

dude what is your deal?
i made that progress thread when i first got my car and was like a kid at christmas planning all this stuff i wanted to do with it. after reading, talking, learning over the past few months, i've learned that cold air intakes are simply hollow tubes (noise) with a filter on the end. there's a bunch of things in my first post on that thread that i'll probably never end up doing, or that i'll switch around depending on what i learn from that point on.
i am simply saying that if you want to increase performance on your car, there are many other things i would do first before buying an intake. let alone the money that the name brands charge us.
not sure why you feel the need to ruin perfectly good threads with your babble. i don't need to explain myself to you or anyone. kindly back off and mind your business you big internet bully.
