Hey reese. Welcome to the forums.

There is a lot of information available on this forum. take the time to browse and learn about your car though the copious threads on this subject.

I'll give you a hint tho..... lots of members have very good luck with the AEM V2.

They are pointless and if you are looking for sound, get a custom one for a lot cheaper. If you are looking for performance, get a J pipe for PCDs.

OP, save your money for another performance upgrade. j-pipe would be a good start.

your car already has a stock cold air intake, the $300 you'd be spending on the magical AEMV2 would be for noise, and noise only.

additionally, you can always take off your intake resonator box for a little bit of a different sound.

oh yeah, welcome to the forums.

I just want to do this entire forum justice, from people like you ruining the fun, and giving out false information based on your opinions and hunch. You sir are a piece of work. You continue to preach to everyone on this forum about how a CAI is a waste of money and it just provides sound, and most of your stances are basically against any sort of intake.

However on your own post about a self loathing post about your plans for your car you post the following below, and look what we have here you plan on putting an intake on your car, an AEM v2 non the less that you just commented on poorly about. Granted its your money to spend as you please, however for the short amount of time I have been on here, its people with your negative attitude knocking things with your idiotic opinions that turns people off about you, and the online world of car forums.
The fact is you have no evidence, hard facts, or anything to support your claims, yet very ironically you plan on doing the very same you just love to jump at and bash.

You make me sick and your opinions are that of an idiot. :squintfaw

"hey all, recently aquired a 2007 acura tl type-s in nighthawk black pearl. A/T w/ 35k miles.

figured I'd start a progress thread, as i plan on modding this car a little bit, both performance & looks.

plans include...

-tint
-led lighting throughout
-custom cf headlights/cf tails
-cf hood
-dvd player
-navi hack

-koni yellows w/ h&r springs
-new wheels/tires
-aem v2 cai
-ur pulley
-mm delete w/ dynomax res
-rv6 v3 jpipe
-atlp quad exhaust"

dude what is your deal?

i made that progress thread when i first got my car and was like a kid at christmas planning all this stuff i wanted to do with it. after reading, talking, learning over the past few months, i've learned that cold air intakes are simply hollow tubes (noise) with a filter on the end. there's a bunch of things in my first post on that thread that i'll probably never end up doing, or that i'll switch around depending on what i learn from that point on.

i am simply saying that if you want to increase performance on your car, there are many other things i would do first before buying an intake. let alone the money that the name brands charge us.

not sure why you feel the need to ruin perfectly good threads with your babble. i don't need to explain myself to you or anyone. kindly back off and mind your business you big internet bully.
