local mechanics for cold intake

Hi, i was planning on buying a AEM intake and i am not mechanically savy AT ALL. I guess i am just a little scared taking the bumper off and the drilling etc. I live in San Jose CA and was wondering if there are any mechanics in that area that can do this install for me at a low price. Any help will be great! thank you

I was the same way, but after viewing the video on taking the bumper off, I got a little more confident. I ended up doing the entire install including P2R TB spacer with no help in my garage. Got everything put back together without a problem. No special tools needed. The drill is only for taking the OEM intake apart, and it just makes the process easier. Could probably be done a different way, but the drill definitely made it easy.

I am not sure what a shop would charge to do the install, but I would definitely consider doing it yourself if I were you. Just my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Actually, my Acura dealer installed mine. Didn't need to take off the bumper.

they didn't give you a hard time or give you a lecture on voiding the warranty?

They sort of hiinted at loss of warranty if I raced it, which I don't.
They are a pretty cool service group. I've been with them since 1998, and they know I'm maintenance nut.
When I did trade my '05 for my '07 TL-S, they "certified" it for resale, but they did take off the K&N and gave it back to me, which I subsequently put on my '07.
This time I did it myslf.

yeah do it yourself its not a big deal. Only part that I got scared about was when I starting taking off the tubes other then that its simple and not stress full at all.

That was my first time doing anything to a car myself.
