Lightweight pulley help
I'm in the market for a lightweight pulley, I see endless and xlr8 are selling them. Xlr8's is 198$ and endless is only 150$
is there any major difference between these two making the 50$ difference?

^ pick the right belt. That should fix that slipping problem. People trying to put stock belt on UR pulley and wonder why it was slipping and slapping.
I ran a stock diameter one on my turbo car for a while and didn't see any signs of slipping and tensioner was where it should be in regards to the tick marks

Our XLR8 Crank Pulleys are produced by UnorthodoxRacing which means:
I'm not sure what the Endless pulley has gone through, but I'd be willing to bet the $50 price gap comes from research and development.
If you end up going the Endless route a write up would be awesome!
Happy modding!

- 100% made in America

from unorthodox directly, they say you need to use a specific gates belt with their stock pulley. they also say you should replace it every 3 years or 36k miles. i'm sure there's no issues, but i didn't want to live by those requirements and pay for a TB change every 3 years so i sold my pulley (unused) and stayed oem
i hear people like their pulleys tho!

i don't know the details of the install/replacement all i know is they ask for a specific belt every 36000 miles and i don't want that compared to the 7 years for oem haha. a few hp wasn't worth it to me. just relaying what they told me for other users

a serpentine belt job is DIY in 10-15 minutes. And only costs around 15$ that's not bad for every 36K miles which is around three years.

buy this impact socket and use a decent impact gun with it. Remove the crank bolt like it was a lug nut

I meant to say underdrive not UR. Ur is the company name. Stock diameter use stock belt.

do you not have to remove the crank bolt?
#21
^ don't have to remove the crank to do the belt. Only have to remove the crank to swap them, or if you want to do a timing belt. Do not lose that damn crank key though or else you are fked

so all i need to do is remove the crank pulley bolt, replace the pulley and add the belt that's it? and then when i replace the belt i don't need to do that again?
maybe i can find a coworker with an impact.
when you say crank key, are you referring to the socket you linked?
#25
ah got it thank you. shit i should have done this when i had my TB done a year ago haha.

so does this key come with our car? or is it something you have to buy? sorry i'm still confused about how to obtain one
#31
its already holding your current crank pulley in place. That why it doesn't spin freely around. It locks the crank pulley into place. Like I said google the image.

thats the tool I'm talking about, the tool you linked and this one are "frequently bought together".

lol people are idiots if they are trying to use that with the impact socket + the honda crank holding tool. watch the video below. You also see the slot in the crank pulley where the key goes.

Or you can just hit it with an impact and call it a day.
When you get the light weight pulley there is no place to hold it like the stock one. So yeah it's useless. hit it with an impact and be on your way.
