J37 rotating assembly in J35
I'm getting a good offer on a j37a4 crank for 200 bucks. I got a j35z2, magnaflow mufflers and cai. My bearings spun and I'm building the short block, thought I could put in j37a4 rotating assembly (while keeping crosshatch to prevent oil consumption issues).
So, will the j37a4 crank work in my j35z2? I read the j37 crank's shorter and needs a spacer to fit the block.
Also, I assume I'd need j37 rods as well, while keeping my j35 pistons and rings?

this is all over AZ in various posts. But, J37 crank with spacer, 3.7 rods and new rings, gaskets and bearings should be the minimum. the tsb from acura talks about the oil control rings getting clogged. hone is optional depending on wear. most will probably say get the whole block or motor complete.

Isn't it better to just use j37 crank and rods with my existing j35 pistons and rings with a regular crosshatch hone pattern on bores? I'm running 89.5mm cylinder bores already, so I'm essentially gonna get a j36 bottom end which I'm okay with. That way, I avoid getting into the j37 oil consumption problem territory.
